So that's where Chivers ended up.
Back on topic... the stewards in West Upper are very good. From day one they've had the right attitude, which is to let us all get on with things and keep out of the picture. On top of that, they're very friendly. Actually, i would say the general vibe up...
Not going to read a single post in this thread... as it will be stuffed full of people's who's opinions are just plain wrong. Hornblower - GB84 is a crackin' book, and i agree with you completely, Thatcher and her cronies are utter scum.
best forward at the club. surprised gus hasn't played him as the central forward much this season, perhaps a better bet than CMS or Vokes right up top.
improved massively as the season has progressed, don't write him off as next season's top scorer
we won't. think we'll get tonked tomorrow, and west ham will win their last 3 after that to pip southampton by a point. for the play offs, i reckon cardiff will grind out a nil nil in the final and win on penos.
who are saints playing, other than reading tonight? i think they'll lose tonight, plus an away game, and i could see them bottling it under sadkins allowing west ham to pip them to second spot. they will then choke choke choke in the play offs. if we get there we'll win the thing, as on our day...
Anywhere central, or failing that London Road or even Lewes Road areas? Surely between the Blue Lagoon to the far west of the city and the Hikers to the far east of the city, there must be somewhere?
we're the west stand, and we'll clap who we want (to the tune of that rubbish 'we're the north stand and we'll stand when we want' song)
in all seriousness... i almost always clap. it's a nice touch. why be unfriendly when you can be friendly? we should take pride from the clapping, most away...
To encourage people to stick around, why not advertise what's going to be showing on the screens after the game? On the 2 jumbo screens during the match it could say something like...
4.45 Final Scores
5.00 Interview with man of the match
5.10 Interview with Gus
5.20 Match Highlights
Or...
lovely little post. i feel like this sometime when i climb those stairs and the busy happy concourse opens out in front of me. never fails to bring a little smile to my face
Does an aerial view exist of the proposed new car park, in relation to the stadium site?
I'm assuming next year Bennetts Field will be used for buses and coach parking, rather than cars? With 1901ers getting to use the new car park?
To all Watford fans reading this thread and starting to worry... don't panic. The biggest issue on Tuesday related to overcrowding - people surging and pushing onto a smaller than expected train (on this note - somebody mentioned above about standing by the door because they get off at London...
email the transport manager at the club? i did a while back... and he replied. not saying it will change anything, but it might help things.
transport is possibly the biggest stumbling block between us selling out our new 32,000 beauty every week, and not. especially as we attract so many...
fair play sir for showing such commitment. i live in brighton, so i'm not faced with much hardship about getting back... i do generally hang around after the game a bit to try and do my bit for people like you - you don't need us locals clogging up that train queue immediately on full time, when...
Pretty sure it was £360 for the season. Split between 4 or 5 mates, that's not too bad. Pretty sure places are available for last 2 games so you could give it a go and see how you like it?
good post. hugely hypocritical for us to refer to reading fans as plastic fans (what a duff term that is) if this is based on the fact that they moved into a new stadium which hugely increased their attendances.
Seemed like a nice friendly bunch. Good turnout, fair bit of noise. Always had a bit of soft spot for Reading (except of course when Pardew was there, and they kept poaching our players). Good luck to them next season in the top league.
