On balance, although I can see some defects with the current system, I agree with you that the lottery model would be worse. As someone who was in the second tier for both Bournemouth and Arsenal (on the basis of 6 years of Amex STH, a few away games in each of the last few seasons, plus going...
A bigger problem with the word "quality" is that without qualification it's pretty meaningless. Any player we get in will have "quality" by definition. The more important question is whether he is high quality or low quality, excellent quality or mediocre quality...

I assume that a number of these may well trickle out over the coming weeks for those who missed out today or tomorrow, if they keep their eye on the ticketing site.
Yes just watched it this evening on iPlayer. Nice little documentary - some quite inspiring characters - loved the Peruvian sprinter with the pony tail and early stage dementia.

It's a metaphor for modern British society really. A bit like people owning houses with massively inflated values and leaving them to their undeserving kids, while the kids of those stuck in the rented sector never get on the housing ladder however hard they work.

OK, chill. I was only asking and trying to understand the system, which still seems counterintuitive to me. But I'm not "complaining" as you put it, not least because I've got more than enough points to go to the matches I want to go to.
Yes, I agree, it doesn't make you more loyal but the club clearly makes a distinction between games - so my comment was based on that: if the club is going to distinguish "degrees of loyalty", I don't get why Bournemouth scores less than Watford - televised, crap late night journey home after...
Watford is closer and easier to get to than Bournemouth (without factoring in the difficulty of getting back from Bournemouth after an 8 pm kickoff), and the Barnet match was at home.
Why do we get only 5 points for Bournemouth? I would have thought attending a late kickoff on a Friday night for televised match demonstrates a higher degree of 'loyalty' than any of Leicester, Watford and certainly Barnet attendances
So one columnist's controversial and OTT article would lead you to stop reading a newspaper because you disagree with that viewpoint? I assume that, if you're going to continue looking at NSC, you agree with all the views expressed on here?

Google maps says 19 minutes walk. Previous experience suggests that Google walking pace is calibrated to Americans who are overweight and tend to drive everywhere, so 15 minutes should do it easily
er.. not really. I don't think it's a good idea either (and I'm 62). I think BG's information is several years out of date. The PL site clearly states, under "arriving at Vicarage Road by car" the following: "Parking is not permitted at Watford General Hospital."...
Any advice/experience on parking for Watford? Have always taken the train before, but given likely train problems on Saturday, and that I can't leave Brighton particularly early on Saturday, I'm thinking of driving if the parking situation is ok, but no idea how easy it is to find a space...
