It's a no from me on the new Arcade Fire album, the title track is glorious but there's so much filler. That Peter Pan-Chemistry-Infinite Content run is unforgivable.
Funeral >>> The Suburbs > Reflektor > Neon Bible >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Everything Now
Long overdue.
The only things it had going for it were that you could always get a seat and if you were up to something you shouldn't have been it was very unlikely anyone would ever be in there to see you.
Loving the new EMA track. Has the drone that lovers of Past Life Martyred Saints and her previous band Gowns were missing

We don't need 5 seamers and there's not another batsman knocking down the door
I think playing 2 spinners is another nod to getting a team ready to compete in the subcontinent. If we are serious about being better in those conditions then we have to go out there with experienced players...
I actually agree with what you say about Woakes improvement but for me Woakes replaces one of Broad or Anderson in the current team. We need a fast, slingy bowler like Wood, especially in the subcontinent. Wood asks a completely different question from the other 4.
I love Woakes but I prefer the look of this attack without him. I think a slingy, proper fast bowler like Wood is going to be worth more to us than Woakes extra runs. Stokes, Anderson and Broad are undroppable at present.
Nice problem to have anyhow.
Much of a muchness. Both of them have got dodgy techniques that have been exposed at the top level.
Root knows and likes Ballance, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now. I agree that playing an out of form Habib could have been bad for his long term development but I'm looking to get...
Watching from the sofa, rather than there unfortunately.
Ata Kak and Pat Thomas & The Kwashibu Area Band the highlights so far.
Now for a bit of Kate Tempest.
The TBA on the Park Stage at 7.30 is strongly rumoured to be Elbow if that interests anyone.
Is Thurston Moore this weekend? I was pleasantly suprised when I saw him support Swans the other week, didn't think much of the record I heard or that TGE show he did a couple of years back but seemed he was now doing a pretty decent impression of Murray Street / Sonic Nurse era Sonic Youth...
If you can't say anything about Islam, why are the papers full of people writing about it and the tv and radio full of people talking about it? Far more than any other religion.

Anyone else going to Kikagaku Moyo on Friday at The Hope?
Japanese ambient psych types. Their 2016 album 'House In The Tall Grass,' was a real fave of last year

50% there. Absolutely 100% correct that Britain First and Islamic Fundamentalists have far more in common than they do with the vast majority of people in the middle of them that get caught up in their symbiotic cross fire.
100% wrong that Islam is a 'far-right' ideology. Well, no more or less...
