Some of my favourites times following the Albion are Newcastle games.
1978-79 Won Home and Away, best away match ever.
3 Cup wins attended, one at St James in the 1980's and 2 at AMEX.
Keegan's last match at Newcastle great scenes
Bryan Wade 4 goals at the Goldstone
Feeling confident of a win...
Happy that Reading & Newcastle are now and not back end of the season, like Burnley last year, which for me was the hardest to take that we didn't win after dominating the game. What makes us better is the winning mentality, coupled with the unpredictability (consistency) of Knockeart and March...
Don't tend to look at games too far in advance, but next five fixtures for the top three are quite interesting. Huddersfield remind me of us last season, overachieving and having a great after Xmas period. Not saying they can't keep it up.
Fixtures:
Geordies; Villa H Bristol C H BHA A...
I am happy to have our next seven fixtures compared to the Geordies. They have a great away record which will be serverely tested with 5 out of the next 7 away, Wolves, Norwich, BHA Huddersfield and Reading.
Probably the best I've seen from a team in the Championship this season. Doubt any other sides would have done better. Just my opinion.
Move on to Brentford, learn from the defeat, Brentford play the same way, I'd maybe play 5 in midfield, definitely hoping Stephens is fit for Sunday.
They were disappointing at the Amex, changed their tactics and came for a point with time wasting from the off. They press hard and play good possession stuff, but their goals tally at home is not great. I'm hoping we can catch them on the break and take advantage from dead ball situations...
Newcastle are suddenly a bit wobbly, Derby Home, Wolves Away, then Norwich Away,
Leeds Huddersfield Away, Cardiff Home,Bristol C Home
Reading Ipswich Away, Barnsley Home, Brentford Home,
Very interesting...,
I reckon a win tomoorow takes Huddersfield out of the automatic promotion race, they then have a big local derby against Leeds sunday lunchtime and we have a tricky game at Brentford. Newcastle didin't look that clever tonight particuarly at the back, Shelvey has quality, but if Dean was reffing...
Good jobe we are 8 points clear of third or this board would be in total meltdown.!!! I can't believe some of the comments today, still NSC at its best.
