    [Cricket] The Ashes- England v Australia- 1st Test, Birmingham, June 16 - 20, 2023

Me too mate, that’s exactly how I see it. Ive been to Australia about 15 times, love the country, the people, the whole experience. Nearly moved there more than once but won’t do it now, though I have had a couple of nice work trips out there. But when we play them at cricket, rugby and other...

    [Albion] Fixtures 23/24 (9.00 AM 15th June)

On one link, Sky Sports are still showing that we are away to Brighton on November 4. No wonder players like to try and have a bet on the outcome! https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12896741/brighton-premier-league-2023-24-fixtures-and-schedule

It will be tough playing them both on the same day, but I guess we could manage

[Humour] Would you vote leave or remain..

Surely we also need a ‘none of the above’ option too?

[Humour] Would you vote leave or remain..

Before you know it, 52% will be saying that UEFA is corrupt and that we should leave

[Cricket] Ashes tickets for sale (Day 4 Edgbaston)

I’m going to the first 4 days - really looking forward to it but I grant you that my enthusiasm may wane a bit when we are 63-6 at lunch on Friday 😳

    [Brighton] New hospital building

I suspect, as we saw when the Amex was built, such new sites are few and far between. That said, there do seem to be sites found for new blocks of flats, eg the old sidings off Sackville Road in Hove and that might have been an option with a bit of forethought.

    [Brighton] New hospital building

Opens today: https://www.theargus.co.uk/news/23581601.brightons-new-485m-hospital-building-opens-patients/ Having suffered frequent (too many) visits to the old buildings as an outpatient, patient and visitor, this looks like really good news for the area and long overdue. I already have had...

    [Misc] It's too hot

A few years ago I went on holiday to South America, I had a picture by Iguassu Falls with the temperature showing at 42c. A week after I got back, I was sent by my company to Moscow for a 2 week assignment in the middle of winter, where it got down to minus 36c. So within a week or so, my body...

If you look on historicalkits.co.uk it’s easy to find early examples - Accrington, Birmingham, Bradford, Brentford …… got bored of looking after that!

[Football] New Kits Thread - Season 23/24

I think when kits first came out in the 19th century, many teams had that V design or a sash. It seems to have almost completely disappeared in football kits today.

[Albion] Europa League - What we know so far

I used to go to Corals back in the day when the Albion players used it too, they were not shy in wandering around showing their meat and 2 veg in the changing room. I can’t say I noticed if the taller players had lesser attributes elsewhere. A few years later when he was Citeh manager, I was...
