[Travel] Sgt Harry Tangye (and others) v Jeremy Clarkson

I'm on Clarkson's side with this. The police seem to take great joy in keeping roads closed for hours and hours after an accident while they "investigate" An hour to take some photos and do a bit of measuring I can accept. Any more than that is just them being ornery and causing the rest of us...

I haven't and I'm not a liar. Fact is it's illegal and very stupid so he has disqualified himself from being PM.

[Misc] Why isn’t there a straight Pride?

I don't think that gay pride "needs to exist". I believe it turns more straight people off the whole "gay" thing rather than getting them onside. They should go about their lives without any particular fuss and I believe people would be far more accepting.

    [News] Dakota D-Day Flypast

Went to Beachy Head to see them. Amazing sight. Two and a half hours late though … aeroplanes are ALWAYS late! Horrendous traffic trying to leave the area afterwards.

[Cricket] Jofra Archer - can someone explain

Good point. The situation with cricket is ridiculous. Far too much international cricket.

[Cricket] Jofra Archer - can someone explain

Whoever he's playing for it certainly isn't Sussex, so back to my original point … what's the point of him being a Sussex player when he never plays for the County?

    [Albion] David Turnbull

With a name like Turnball he should be a cricketer.

[Cricket] Jofra Archer - can someone explain

But that's my point, he's so good we'll never see him playing for Sussex. Problem is there's far too much international cricket. Ted Dexter was a great cricketer and played regularly for England, but also played regularly for Sussex.

[Cricket] Jofra Archer - can someone explain

Obviously a very good cricketer. It appears he's played a couple times for Sussex over the past three years, but no regular appearances. Now, suddenly he's English and still with Sussex. He's played for England this year, but has he yet played for Sussex? Is he likely to actually turn out for...

[Albion] Do you have an American Express credit card?

Yes I do, but well before their sponsorship of our team/stadium. More places accepting it now than used to be the case, but still get a little bored with asking "do you accept American Express".

But even the yellow shirt had their red and blue club colours on a stripe down the front.

    [Albion] BHAFC new kit 2019/20

Actually Palace do a good job of sticking to their club colours. Last season's home kit was the usual red and blue and their away shirt was white with a blue and red diagonal stripe. It can be done. Well done Palace.

    [Albion] BHAFC new kit 2019/20

I don't care about the history of decades back and I'm sure that's true for the majority of fans. The club's colours are blue and white and our away shirts should feature those two colours designed so that it's sufficiently different from the home kit. It always strikes me as ridiculous when...

    [Albion] BHAFC new kit 2019/20

What's wrong with white shirts with a couple of bits of blue so that we keep the club colours? We have no association whatsoever with black, green or yellow.

Amazing insight from sky pundit charlie nicholas on who we should sign upfront. Charlie Nicholas? Did his brother Tony play up front for us in the 60s?

That is frankly bollocks. Of course young people can be persuaded not use drugs, smoke, or get addicted to alcohol. The problem generally is bad parenting.

    [Football] Football and mental health

As it happens, yes I do. However I rarely if ever drink to excess. I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of times I have been drunk, but in spite of that I can still have a good time. Fact is you do not have to be drunk or drugged up to enjoy yourself and the sooner people realise...

    [Football] Football and mental health

What a strange post. So you thought that the only way you could enjoy yourself was to take ecstasy? In order to "let your hair down" you had to take drugs? Didn't you realise that it was perfectly possible to have a bloody good time without taking drugs? I lived through the 60s when there were...
