[Politics] The 2024 US Election - *MATCH DAY*

Who are these "many military experts" and are they as naive as you about Putins willingness to stop extending the Russian empire once he has Ukraine?

[Politics] Tory meltdown finally arrived [was: incoming]...

Quite right that Remainers continue to argue that the referendum result should be reversed. It's what Leavers did after the 1975 referendum that voted to stay in, poll after poll says there is a majority now for being a part of the EU, the economic, social and political damage is clear, we will...

    [Politics] The Labour Government

True - but approval ratings for their policies aren't rock bottom. Make of that what you will.

    [Politics] The Labour Government

The over 65s were the only age group at the last election where a majority voted Tory. I'm sure this is part of the political calculation plus a YouGov poll last week had only 55% disapproval rating for the WFA change, much closer than the press would have us all believe.

Possibly but not what my doctor concluded.

    [Travel] *Different* Relaxing Holiday Locations

That's on my list. My brother in law has a place and hour or so on from Bordeaux so was thinking of driving it with a couple of night with him to break the journey.

    [Help] Ear wax removal

I had this issue. Went to Specsavers a month or so ago. They did the suction thing. Two days later I got vertigo caused by the crystals in my inner ear being out of position. Very debilitating, couldn't drive and took a good two weeks to settle down even after the recommended head exercises to...

    [Politics] Labour Party meltdown incoming.......

One answer to an ageing and increasingly longer lived population (with all of the medical and care needs that this implies) is to ensure there is growth in the working and tax paying population. If the birth rate isn't delivering this then immigration can, with an efficient means to assess the...

[Politics] Tory meltdown finally arrived [was: incoming]...

Tosh. Traditional Tories are the likes of Nicholas Soames, Norman Tebbit and even Thatcher. They wouldn’t give the time of day to the likes of Honest Bob and Crazy Kemi with their pro Trump, anti Europe, anti ECHR views. The Tories are heading down a blind alley of extremism which will keep them...

[Politics] Tory meltdown finally arrived [was: incoming]...

Switched my dad from a price cap tariff to a 12m fix yesterday, will save him around £200 per year. He won't miss the WFA at all. Still bemused by the way the govt have handled this though.

    [Politics] Euthanasia

Understand this completely. Had to watch my wonderful Mum suffer as liver cancer killed her. Before she lost the ability to speak she asked my brother to get some pills, gather the family so that she could die in a way that she wanted to. I think it is unbelievably cruel to deny someone with a...

[Albion] un-listing season ticket and the mad cost of upgrades

I might have expected a little more flexibility from the club in your situation. I know five games isn't much in normal circumstances but.......best wishes for your treatment.

It's sensational and with a brilliant live backing band. Venue is good as well, not a bad seat anywhere.

[Politics] Shoreham Pilot - Flying Licence Appeal Rejected 17/10/2024

Irresponsible, demonstrably unsafe, callous in his disregard for the victims families - I hope he gets told in no uncertain terms to forget ever flying again.

[Albion] Spurs - Bridge and EDF

I tend to arrive 30/45 mins before KO and it's fine getting in. I always leave just before final whistle as I don't like being stuck in a car park for an hour after the game.

    [Albion] Explain Yourself

Although I saw my first Albion game on the 31st January 1978, I didn't start attending every home game until 4 years later when I no longer had a Saturday job.
