Odeon Brighton is shut down for a month due to some kind of emergency repairs. Not surprised judging by the state of the outside of the place.
Due to open again mid-November. No news on what they're doing about those on Limitless.
I'm almost done with what I thought was an X-Files rewatch, only to discover I really hadn't watched many episodes at all back in the day.
One episode I did remember and still ranks as probably my favourite for all the wrong reasons is 'Home', yes that one. X-Cops is another.
The Season 7...
Being selected for Germany and making it to the Euros is a fitting end to his incredible career with us. I think he coasted a few of his last games so as to be sure he was fit for the Germany squad.
It'll be a very different Brighton team without him but he's certainly helped set the standard.
It was around this time of year we used to get the concourse sale of outgoing clobber. I still have Vicente's training top (barely worn!) from one Errea era end-of-season clear out.
Of course Nike would never allow such a thing.
Blimey, what an excruciating watch that was. So much faffing around these players. What's with all the hugging?
Credit to the fella with his boots in a carrier bag though.
Also, is it bad that I didn't even recognise at least two of those arrivals?
Enjoying the continued return of some classic films to mainstream cinemas.
Last night, Oscar Jr and I braved the Odorous, sorry Odeon, West Street to see George Romero's 1985 Day of the Dead. Still dead good with some incredible practical effects.
A true video nasty that is all the more nasty...
I've... seen things....
... not attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion but Blade Runner: Final Cut at the Odeon last night.
What a treat to see this on the big screen and to share it with Oscar Jnr.
Just finished Red Card Roy, a footy autobiography by former Colchester United and Southend United striker / player-manger Roy McDonough. I remember see him playing against up a few times.
Anyway, it's a great read about the kind of dirty (in more ways than one ;)) player now mostly long gone...
