[Albion] Ben Foster Predicts Brighton to be Relegated

Bugger, there was an unclaimed copy of the DM in the local tonight, I’d have read it if I’d known. How many of them had Palace to go down?

    [Albion] Alireza Jahanbakhsh joins Feyenoord

Sounds like Brighton’s version of our Alexander Sørloth. :) Couldn’t hit a barn door for us and then went on loan to became Trabzonspor’s top-scoring foreign player with 29 goals in a single season. [as an aside, Sørloth, was subsequently sold to RB Leipzig where he is currently scoring a...

[Humour] Quality: bloke walking around Tokyo in video game style

Odd. Having visited Tokyo, the one thing that struck me watching that was actually seeing a pile of rubbish on the floor!

[Football] Crystal Palace sell £87.5m stake to US businessman

Well seeing as I’ve never trolled this board or its predecessor for the 20 odd years I’ve been a member, I guess I must be remarkably thick.

[Football] Crystal Palace sell £87.5m stake to US businessman

I haven’t misunderstood unsecured debt at all, I just pointed out the inaccuracy of Deportivo Seagull’s assertion that all your debt was unsecured as it was all covered by TB. I’m fully aware that plenty of clubs also use loans secured against future broadcasting revenues, it’s not exactly...

[Football] Crystal Palace sell £87.5m stake to US businessman

How is pointing out the similarity in the losses both clubs made “clutching at straws” ? :D I fully get you’ve got an extremely wealthy owner, who is also a fan, whereas we don’t. I’m not sure why you think that’s sad, it’s just a fact.

[Football] Crystal Palace sell £87.5m stake to US businessman

I think you’ll find that £37M of your debt is in fact secured against future broadcast revenues.

[Football] Crystal Palace sell £87.5m stake to US businessman

If Palace’s debts of £61.1M are “crippling”, how would you describe Brighton’s debt of £67.2M?

About the same albeit for different reasons.

[Albion] Not long to go before kick off - Where is your Albion Mojo?

Being an away fan guest on here, I obviously didn’t vote in the poll. If I had, it would have been 6-7.

    [Albion] Getafe match thread

I find it disproportionately funny myself. These days you’ve got some Brighton fans in despair for the coming season because you lost. Equally you’ve got some Palace fans thinking of Europe for the coming season because they won. It’s just pre-season games, it’s basically irrelevant.

    [Albion] Getafe match thread

Are their games being shown on their clubs site? Or are you referring to illegal feeds? Obviously I used the latter to watch the game, but the club couldn’t show it on their own media.

    [Albion] Getafe match thread

I may be wrong but possibly it isn’t the club’s fault at all. Palace weren’t allowed to stream their game against Watford and the reason given might well apply to your game as well. “This is due to the match falling on the same day the 21/22 Championship season starts, meaning there is a...

[Food] Beyond Meat boss backs tax on meat consumption

When did this idiot fashion for not cutting the excess bone from a ribeye steak start? You are paying the ‘tomahawk fashion tax’ and on top of that you are also paying for a length of bone by weight you can’t even eat and makes cooking awkward. It’s the Emperors new steak, despite...

    [Albion] Palace Fans Biggest Fear

I really didn’t think it needed spelling out but the post I quoted suggested that loaning him out meant that “They clearly didn't rate him”. I used Ben White, who was also loaned out a year ago, as an example that loaning someone out doesn’t automatically equate to a club not rating a player.

    [Albion] Palace Fans Biggest Fear

Of course I do, that’s why I used him to point out why I disagreed with the post I quoted.
