I was once a Shoreham Beach resident.
It could be such a great pub with its location, but although I lived there for 9 years, I was only tempted in on a couple of occasions. Just always had the look of a pub you want to walk past.
Live in Lancing now, where to start with worst pubs?
I'll be in Barcelona, but working. We get the PL games on Sport 24 but not the cup games, so it looks like I'll be in my office with Twitter & NSC keeping me informed.
Twitter is good because you don't get buffoons posting "oh shit" for no reason. You know when a goal's a goal.
All the pundits I've heard on various podcasts have gone for Millwall, but I just can't see us losing this & I predict a comfortable win. 0-3 to the good guys.
Love the Nelson, my match day pub, can't wait to get in there again.
William IV, Church St. Not so much a refurb as a total makeover. I like it, but it's pricey & a tad poncey. (Does this make me poncey?)
We had the whole of that side for the 5-0. A day that started so well. I was living not far from the Dials at the time, and as I came down past the Belle Vue, you could hear the singing from outside the Bell & the station. This was about 11:00 a.m. Saw so many faces that I hadn't seen for years...
A fun day out to Croydon with a bunch of fine chaps. At that time the away section was half of the terraced holmesdale end. I think it was shortly after they'd demolished the white horse end to turn in to Sainsbury's. Anyway, interesting being right next to them.
If you think Selhurst is crap...
Thanks for the reply mate, I do generally have a look around for the discounted "previous version". I have used sportsshoes.com previously too. (Even, say it quietly, sportsdirect.com). It was just a general rant about the prices getting really ridiculous these days. Runners Need is another site...
Getting to that time where I'll be investing a new pair of running shoes soon. My God, these sports company's are really making hay out of the running boom. Just seen these new Asics Metaride's online for 224.00 quid!
I'd love to be able to buy the trainers that suit me best, (Nike Pegasus)...
Lucky you. You have a big choice to make now, keep it, (obviously). Or get hold of Daz Paine on Twitter; that would be worth a mint, especially when he gets it signed. Worth a mint for charity I might add.
By the way, no-one in the world would blame you for keeping it!
Noise from our lot was quality today. Watching on TV here on board with a colleague, he commented how loud the Brighton fans were.
The Cantona song came across well, as did "Where's your famous atmosphere?"
Hat's Off to everyone there; very jealous, but at least managed to catch on the box...
Really looking forward to their Ultras embarrassing themselves, posting pictures & continuing to keep the club as the biggest laughing stock in football.
Bunch of absolute clowns.
