It’s not really democracy though is it? I’m not naive to think that all parties don’t do similar things. Fracking has had a fair bit of press, not a trivial matter I would think.

I’ve just seen Steve Baker state it’s irrelevant what’s being voted on as it a confidence vote. How is this democracy? MPs are now being asked to vote against a 2019 election promise to save the PMs skin.

Is there any chance they’ll lose the vote tonight? What happens if they lose? Apparently the SNP were not planning on voting as it is a devolved issue, but now it’s a confidence vote they are voting. Is that likely to make a difference?
