I think the UK has much more comparable to Man Utd. Once brilliant, generally disliked, has been visibly on the slide for a while and despite multiple reboots of leadership has not really made any progress.
And this is the the crux. Whoever leads the nation has to grapple with the fact that...
At some point you have to ask yourself, if you're not fully aware of the latest whereabouts on each on the 434 professionals on our books what sort of fan are you?
The other player who I think is being a little under-rated is Adingra.
To me it's incredible he's not starting. And again I understand it's a result of the amazing squad we are putting together and the good start made by our front men. But I just think at this point right now, he's ahead of...
I get it mate. It's tough. And we all want to see our main (I think) summer signing start in his best position. Very good players won't even make matchday squads let alone the first team in our new reality
I followed the Kadioglu thread closely as many of us did, and I was amazed to see...
I'm not belittling the tough selection decisions which the manager and the wannabe managers such as myself and the others naming teams on this thread have to consider.
But I'm very surprised by the number of people dropping Veltman. I just think as long as there is a game called football...
Me as well.
We all want Brighton to win, but people pay the very good money and take time out of their weekend and spend the brownie points with the Mrs, because they want to see excellence, they want to see skill levels they couldn't hope to achieve, they want to see something that leaves them...
I reckon we might be looking at something like ....
---------Verbruggen
Veltman Van Hecke Dunk Ferdi
--------Baleba Ayari
-----Minteh Pedro Mitoma
-----------Welbeck
But I can see Pedro, Ferdi and Baleba having their minutes carefully managed. I think some earlier subs than usual
Bench...
Not too bad. Never missed more than 5 games. But I get that there has been a few instances
I'd prefer to keep him out of the side, get him properly fit, then ease him in
My only experience I can offer is that any jokes you're tempted to make about the brides sexual history should be regarded as high risk. Hope this helps
Could we go further? Our best long range shooter ever? I know it's a reasonably small sample, but the ones he misses generally look pretty convincing. I'm not sure we've been overly blessed as a club with players who can properly ping one
If RDZ couldn't, I don't see that Hurzeler can.
Think, I said .... nooooo ... just as Skalak was lining up his famous volley as well.
Which does bring me nicely onto the point I want to make which is that obviously we all want Brighton to win every game and do as well as we possibly can, but actually we go to football for incredible moments...
When i'm working from home, I can put 30 or 40 post on here per day, meaning I'm likely not being that productive, at least not from a work point of view.
When i'm in the office, I don't do that
Isn't there a point though that if Evan is in that age group. He got promoted very very young. If he does play under u23 football, he likely won't be the youngest player playing.
I just think that when you use international football to get players minutes, and this is the fault of the ROI set...
Best thing we can do with Evan, is build him back up in the u23's for a few games.
It's stupid for a young player to be doing their return to match fitness at international level, mostly because of the public glare that comes with it.
Let's get the lad some decent minutes in his legs away...
