Of course but we all know he's worth much more than 45 million. £65-70 million would have been a fair price. Liverpool, one of the biggest & richest clubs in the world, have got an absolute bargain.
Apologies if already covered but I can’t wade through loads of pages. Several reports saying there is a release clause for Mac Alister. Perhaps that was the only way he’d sign a new deal? Rumoured to be £55-60 million. I was always under the impression we didn’t do release clauses? Does...
Yes but the point is that many players were developed under him at Swansea. Dan James came out of the youth team & Rodon was given his chance by Potter.
Quickly, the facts:
Ostersunds - took over when they were in the 4th division of the Swedish league; three promotions in 5 years; won the Swedish cup & qualifed for European football.
Swansea - inherited a depleted & broken squad, made them play some of the best football in the country (...
His managerial record is much better than Lampard's and there's still time for him to get a top job. Some people on here need to be careful what they wish for. Given time, Graham Potter will be successful again. I hope that's not at Palace
Appalling behaviour from Mourinho and the Roma bench through the whole game, one of the worse games of football I have ever seen. Risibly bad. More fool me for sticking with it 'til the end.
Every player has their price but though I could see us going as high as £35-40M tops, very much doubt more than that. At this stage, it's got to be unlikely it'll happen but it won't be because Bloom and Barber won't want to "annoy" Chelsea. And it could change if Colwill says he wants to...
Why so bitter? I don't get it.
Good riddance to someone who left us 4th? You really think that's on a " par with the "tools" he had at Brighton, come off it. Everyone knows we have one of the lowest budgets in the Premier League.
You’re wrong too about his time at Swansea. When he took...
Potter transformed the way we played into a modern, passing side who left us in 4th position in the Premier League. Chelsea didn't work out but there were many reasons for that, many beyond his control. He has been successful everywhere else and given time, will be again at another club.
He was the best finisher we had. You‘d nearly always back him in a one on one situation and he was capable of scoring when nothing looked on. When he played well so did the whole team. It’s a great shame it ended with him sulking and not trying. It didn’t have to be like that. Still hope he...
