It looked a fair enough red to me.
It's very disappointing because it not only paid a large contributing part in us not winning the game but it takes him out of our next however many games at a point where we already have a lot of players unavailable.
I hope he doesn't become the new whipping...
Are we at the official bare bones squad stage now?
The last time I looked at our line up and thought oh... as much as this one was against wolves last year. A repeat of that performance and result would do very nicely.
Yeah, I'm sure they're not going to be chucking him into action if he's only played those 30 mins. I was more interested to know how close to actual first team football he is, if anyone had a better knowledge of his rehab than my vague one.
Whilst this is fantastic news does anyone know how many times he's played for the U21s?
As far as I'm aware he's only played 30 minutes in a game for them last week. Surely he's played more? It seems crazy that you can be out injured for 18 months, play once for 30 minutes and then be ready...
I'd just like to point out that Americas A has Buonnanote and Sarmiento on the bench.
Wales has an ageing, long past his bang average best Robbie Savage starting for them.
I'm not sure these two teams are even playing the same sport.
I though that was Bart's best game for us. He looked very assured in his goalkeeping and apart from one rushed/under pressure pass that went out of play I thought he looked a lot better than he has in recent games with the ball at his feet.
I thought Pedro was excellent as was Fati - he makes...
For sure Vicente and Ansu Fati are wild cards for the Spanish but...they weren't world class for the Albion.
Vicente would glide past lumbering championship midfields/defences. The truth is that spain midfield is, in Brighton terms, a championship midfield whereas Gross and Moder are proven...
Good points but I have to disagree.
I'd say Europe's defence is stronger as they have players playing in their natural position even if individually the best two players are in the spain back four.
The premier league quality of Moder and German International Gross has too much guile for...
Having done the WHC I can confirm there is NOTHING you can do that won't cause controversy. NSC World cups are passionate sports played by passionate people and that leads to a lot of arguing, moaning and in the case of honey badger fans crying like little girls when they lose to a shrimp...
Ireland are dark horses for the whole tournament for me. Quality throughout.
Holland are really going to have to dig down into the total football philosophy to get out of the group.
While Americas B are just happy to have qualified Americas A will be looking to bring the trophy home. That is an exceptionally strong team.
I like the description of Asia & Oceania as unbalanced. They don't have a single defender! Paul Reid will be disappointed to have not even made the bench.
I suspect Americas B are just happy to be here.
I haven't decided between Spain and Rest of Europe A. I'm leaning towards Europe atm. It's a fairly balanced side with quality throughout although with De Zerbi at the helm I imagine Ankegren will be getting plenty of playing time.
The...
