    [Football] French league 1 abandoned

If they attempt to restart the season I reckon within a couple of weeks at least one team will get players or staff dropping out with Covid symptoms and then the whole lot will get stopped again. It will take just one squad member in one team getting ill to turn the whole attempt to restart...

    [TV] Race across the World.

I really enjoyed this series apart from the fact that just about every journey was by coach. Got a bit boring in that respect. Not too much hitch hiking going on and very few train journeys. The first series was a bit more varied in terms of travel options.

    [Technology] Laptop advice please

You can get some pretty decent second hand used Lenovo’s for £300. Loads of big companies have contracts with Lenovo which means there are loads of 2 year old ones in good condition that get sold off after being returned from companies as part of there contracts. They are not the prettiest...

    Trump

Could be a good press conference tonight. Trump has been in Twitter all day trying to blame everyone but himself for the mess they could be in.

    Trump

It’s like tuning in for an episode of the muppet show only there is only one muppet in town. If that loon opens up the USA early just in hope of getting himself elected again then surely he is putting huge amounts of American lives in grave danger. Is he really prepared to take that risk?

    Trump

Thought I’d watch it last night to see how bad it really is. OMG. He just rambles and mumbles on for ages just repeating stuff and losing his train of thought. Everything physical he talks about is reaffirmed with ‘its a beautiful thing’ comment thrown in. Then he just seems to go to war...

[Food] Bellcheeses In The Supermarket (Coronavirus Edition)

Yep seen some horrendous driving recently. Failing to give way at roundabouts and a transit van trying to drive 85mph 2m behind the van in front on the A27 are just a few examples. Also quite a few cars drive through red lights I guess in the belief they are the only drivers on the road.

    [Football] Fan Zone

I heard there was a plan to potentially move the club shop out of its current location and round to behind the East Stand where the hotel was originally going together with new club offices. This would then allow the club shop to become a bar / food court and the current North stand offices...

[Albion] What time will Mill Road P&R fill up today?

Never knew there was that huge building in waterfall all those years ago. Guess it was a lumoing station?

Main Coronavirus / Covid-19 Discussion Thread

Had to pick up some emergency plumbing supplies due to a big leak in bathroom resulting in no working toilet. Reluctantly went out to buy the parts required. Could not believe the number of people in the DIY shop buying stuff that is clearly not critical. Buying compost, plants and landscaping...

    [Albion] The Goldstone in wartime

Is it an urban Myth that Brighton was not heavily bombed as Hitler was eyeing up the Royal Pavilion as his UK holiday pad if the Nazis invaded Britain successfully? Thought I had read it somewhere?

[Travel] Southern scraps off-peak Brighton to Victoria trains

Yes I have. Project Cost has gone up by £30 million in a year from when it was first announced.

[Travel] Southern scraps off-peak Brighton to Victoria trains

Not sure how making platforms a bit longer and a new concourse area ends up with a bill of £150 million?

[Travel] FlyBe in trouble? (BBC report)

Very wealthy people who have 2nd homes in Cornwall and well paid jobs in London? Not sure we need to subsidise their regular commute to work?

[Travel] No trains brighton main line

Yes they did. Many many millions.

[Albion] Best Travel Options for Saturday

With the possibility of a fair bit of rain for the next few days the racecourse park and ride has the potential to become a mud fest. It was getting pretty bad in places for the wolves game and things have not exactly dried out since.

    [Politics] The General Election Thread

If you say it enough times people will believe it. He learnt that lesson from Trump. Build the wall. Build the wall. Build the wall.

[News] Prince Andrew interviewed about allegations

I can’t believe his PR advisors let him do this. Or if it was all planned they did a pretty shoddy job of getting him trained in what to say and what not to say. Epstein being found dead in his cell is going to save a lot of powerful people from some awkward questions. Very convenient.

[Brighton] The New Brighton Station taxi rank

There is still plenty of room at the back of the station for a well designed taxi rank, passenger drop off, disabled parking and long term station parking. The poorly designed two level car park should be replaced with a Hayward’s Heath station type car park. Lower level could be passenger...
