[News] The Assault on Jenni Hermoso

I haven’t watched one second of Afcon because I am not interested in it. Why don’t you put a link on here for those of us who haven’t heard about it ? Seems a tad unfair to criticize the board for something only you seem to know about.

[Albion] Albion rise to 23rd in Deloitte world money league

Isn’t this all a bit tacky ? Who actually cares apart from Tony ? This is football not banking.

[Football] Do you still watch MOTD?

True. I suppose I am happy watching analysis at length by Neville, Carracher and Carney but would rather not bother with the bitesize version on MOTD.

[Football] Do you still watch MOTD?

No, there’s so much live football on tv I no longer see the point of a few minutes of highlights. The gulf in tactical knowledge between the MOTD and Sky pundits is also embarrassing.

[News] Royal Mail household delivery service.

I’m not sure this has anything to do with privatisation. We don’t need a private post office either.

[News] Royal Mail household delivery service.

They aren’t private. 100% owned by the Government which means you, me and everyone else. I don’t see it surviving. When the NHS catches up with the 21st century and stops sending letters we will hardly receive anything by post.

[Albion] Bring back the 80s and 90s please.

We were last there for the 5-4 defeat in 1989. Amazing game. Came out afterwards and an old fella told me it was the best game he had seen since 1935.

[Albion] Bring back the 80s and 90s please.

Gay Meadow is still my favourite ground. So much character. I would add St James Park, Exeter and The Den to your list. Ps I would also like to be 40 years younger.

Difficult to tell. Are you down ?

[Football] The last time Chelsea and Boro met...

Chelsea fans will be THRILLED that their team won’t play anything like the Albion last year.

[Football] The last time Chelsea and Boro met...

Didn’t Chelsea stewards open gates through the fencing into the away end ?

[Albion] Anyone else feeling FLAT ?

I’ve never really had footballing highs and lows. Just always enjoyed the day out. Anybody who in the past has tied their emotions into the Albion would presumably be a nervous wreck unable to leave the house to enjoy the current good times.

    [Albion] Stadium Observations

It’s also nonsense. If there was a game of football in a library the sound of tutting would echo around the building at a volume that would put any modern football ground to shame.

    [Albion] Stadium Observations

Home fans quiet/ away fans noisy is true in every stadium in the country. Not being able to hear people from the other end of a football pitch is also true.

[Albion] Brighton & Hove Albion vs Wolverhampton Wanderers *** Official Match Thread ***

Who the hell is Luke Steele and who is the co commentator ?

[Albion] Ivan Toney: clever or cheating?

Forest and you just need to accept the ref’s decision and get on with it. As Gary Neville said, they could have written privately to PGMOL. Instead they have gone public to add more pressure on referees, which just serves to completely embarrass themselves. This refusal to accept the authority...

[Albion] Ivan Toney: clever or cheating?

Because VAR has no remit to do so. More to the point why would you (and others) not know this ?

[Albion] Ivan Toney: clever or cheating?

Now that did make me laugh. The spirit of football IS cheating, whether that’s fans, players or managers. The only ones even trying to stem the tide are referees and they are the ones who get the abuse.

[Misc] You're hungry, you pop into your local independently owned deli for a prosciutto and mozzarella sour dough sandwich, but how do you carry it home?

You are joking ! It’s an even bigger dilemma in Gregg’s because of the obligatory iced bun purchased with the equivalent to whatever that sandwich is.

[Football] Parental advice needed for a father of a 14 year old ref.

Option b) is the better choice. Football fans and those involved in the game do not deserve referees.
