Tranmere were promoted back to the league in 2018 and have also been in L1 since. Disappointing end to last season (as promotion seemed a possibility) and beginning of this but I wouldn’t say they have struggled overall.
I am enjoying the fact that this January is not being dominated by which of our players is about to move on. Football coaches are actually having to do their day jobs.
The ferocity of the backlash against refs and the sheer volume of decision disputes has increased dramatically though. They now have ‘right’ on their side. I think the call for replays is an inevitable consequence of VAR.
