[Albion] Referee Sunny Sukhvir Gill (v Sheffield United)

I’m sure you’re right (I was only listening on the radio). There weren’t many controversial decisions to make though according to most accounts. Let’s see what people are saying after he has reffed a few of our games in the PL and inevitably has made some close call decisions against us.

They did…but in fairness they were about to boo their own players off before they scored those 2 goals. Can’t waste that booing energy.

I’m not saying there was…… but from where you were in the lower tier behind one of the goals ?

[Football] Port Vale fan goes after referee when he awards a late penalty to Portsmouth

He has an alibi. Sky Sports just showed him at the match but not chasing the ref.

[Albion] "What [Brighton] does is also very bad"

Very similar to many of our fans in this respect. There is no right and wrong about this situation. It’s a negotiation and a financial deal. That’s all.

[Football] Former league clubs you would like to see back in the league.

I agree with your overall point. If there is to be 3 or 4 up and down then the National League might just as well be absorbed into the FL as a Div 5. On the very minor point of Tranmere though they were promoted from the NL in 2017/18, spent one season in L2 (promoted), one in L1 (relegated by...

Tranmere were promoted back to the league in 2018 and have also been in L1 since. Disappointing end to last season (as promotion seemed a possibility) and beginning of this but I wouldn’t say they have struggled overall.

[Humour] Perhaps Mr Bloom should invest in one of these

I am enjoying the fact that this January is not being dominated by which of our players is about to move on. Football coaches are actually having to do their day jobs.

Is Blackwell Meadows worth a visit ? I haven’t been to Darlington since Feethams 1979/80 and 80/81.

[Football] Anderlecht vs Genk to be replayed due to VAR f*** up

The ferocity of the backlash against refs and the sheer volume of decision disputes has increased dramatically though. They now have ‘right’ on their side. I think the call for replays is an inevitable consequence of VAR.

It is that simple and yet we have VAR….

This could be the end of football.

Err…Tony pays the bills. Some BHA fans need a reality check.

    [Football] Doing The 92

I logged mine on here a few months ago; https://www.footballgroundmap.com/ The rules are that you have to have been to the current grounds of the current 92 which ruled out quite a few for me. My 95 became 59.

[Albion] When will we get relegated?

Certainly does. You have completely missed the appointment of Fat Sam.

[Football] Former league clubs you would like to see back in the league.

Yeah, it’s an interesting story. I read up on it when we moved to the Wirral. Seems New Brighton Tower and New Brighton did not exist at the same time, which makes sense as Wallasey could barely support one FL club, let alone two. Tranmere have support from all over the Wirral, including...

[Albion] When will we get relegated?

It will happen. It will be a shock to many. Maybe 2 or 3 years left in this up tick so I will go for 2026/27.

New Brighton Tower, New Brighton, Bootle and Southport (not that I’m biased).
