I can't see how we can get into Europe next season unless we have a sudden change of form especially away from home.
Home - Forest, Arsenal, Chelsea, Villa, Man U , Man C
Away - Liverpool, Brentford, Burnley, Bournemouth, Newcastle.
How many points can we get from that lot ?
Got to put out our strongest side vs Forest and try and keep our excellent home record going.
Forest looked very good against Liverpool and will be pumped up needing points to stay in the PL so a very tough game for us.
If we could sort out our defensive limitations more than I think we could improve. Missing Europe next season might not be a bad thing unless it leads to another exodus.
I'd agree with this. Despite their lack of success they have a brilliant following and I don't think I've ever met a Geordie who doesn't support Newcastle.
We have conceded more than 2 goals in six games - Fulham (3), Luton (4), Chelsea (3), Villa (6), AEK Athens (3) & West Ham (3).
Verbruggen was in goal for the West Ham match and Steele the other five. I think it is time to give Bart an extended run in goal.
We have a very tough run in of games in the Prem. However, I can see us causing some upsets in the title race if we are out of Europa and concentrate solely on our league matches. If we are still in the Europa in the latter stages then we might finish 12th indeed.
I'm a little unsure of this debate around RDZ.
Personally I think that like most sides out of the money ladened top six we are struggling with being in Europe and the rigors of the Premier League. We just don't have a big enough or good enough squad to cope with the inevitable injuries and...
Because on that first 45 minutes they are way better than us.
We can't defend and create little. Playing side ways on the half way line 2-0 down and a minute to go and we can't work out that the ball needs to go into their box to score. - no urgency or football sense
