I went in 1992. It was wonderful! Beautiful Sandy Beaches, fantastic food and scenary, all as cheap as anything. I believe it may have become a little more commercialised since then, but probably still well worth a visit. Halong Bay and Hanoi are fabulous places, Ho Chi Minh a little too...
