I have a feeling that when I sync today's lunch run later, my September distance travelled might be enough to dominate the thread! (Including cycling!)
I try not to worry too much about things, which is easier said than done generally. I do have general anxiety about things, I'm not currently doing a great deal in my job at work after a promotion so I have it in mind that the won't keep me around too much longer into the new year - but I'm...
Pröpper had a chance to get a shot off from the edge of the area in the first half at Newcastle but looked for a pass. That was a massive frustration for me, he had a clear sight of goal and the ball perfectly under control. That's where he should have been hitting a shot. There were a few off...
I saw the whole game, and I really can't believe anyone considers that performance, "bossing the midfield". He used the ball well and did fire off a good shot, which was going wide, but drew a save from the keeper. He played ok, he'd be getting 7s across the board if he played like that for us...
Keep them going Bry Nylon - it's so good for them from a physical perspective, but also from a social perspective. Don't let your little lady get too confident though!
For me, I've got Leicester Marathon to think about, and then it's both eyes on the 10k battle with big nuts. In a...
It wouldn't be the worst idea in the world... David Lopez was totally lost and being questioned before making his breakthrough playing as an emergency right back. Then we very quickly discovered what Spanish Dave does. It's time we found out what Ali J does!
The conversation has moved on significantly from the subject - but there can be no argument. Right now - if everyone is fit and available, our strongest matchday squad doesn't contain Jahanbakhsh.
But that doesn't mean he can't force his way into it, if he's given a chance to actually play...
Well done to the Barns Green gang, Guinness Boy, big nuts, Pondicherry (and welcome to the thread!) and Left Back - not to mention Simgull for his performance at the Warsaw Marathon in sunny Poland. Another strong week from the running gang!
I hope so - but you really never know...
Another week, another thumping great PB for me! 17:55 around Hove Park, good enough for 2nd place. Disappointed not to have been able to find the additional 6 seconds to take the win, but the guy ahead was pretty comfortable and at the 2 mile mark the comfortable race leader dropped out with a...
I can honestly say it's one of my favourites. No cone turns (although there is a sharp turn past the wooden squirrel to run up a short sharp hill), and long sweeping paths. It's very Hove Park-esque in the layout. I'm a big fan - and I'll be back there in December. Colin beware!
How many individual courses? I'll re-dedicate my life to catching your number of individual parkruns.
I use a Garmin Forerunner 10, which was relatively cheap at £80. It has a laps feature so I can lap it when I've done the distance I want to. I can't do anything as fancy as...
I really don't understand how Barcelona can argue, with a straight face, that they DIDN'T contact Griezmann ahead of July 1st. It's obvious to the whole world that they did, the deal was obviously done well in advance of that date and they waited to avoid paying the extortionate fee for a player...
Why can't you do that for league games? You're not under any stress to get any points, I don't see why you can't relax and watch the games in the league?
Absolutely - go and get bitten by the parkrun bug, but make sure you register first and print off a barcode - https://www.parkrun.org.uk/
Not sure where I'll be this saturday, I'm tempted by an annual trip to Peacehaven but my bike is currently temporarily out of action and I have very little...
It was probably a nicer experience than mine on the run today, splashing through the chalky puddles on the Undercliff walk. I purposely ran through them though - might as well. Can't avoid them all and really, better to get it out of the way. I got absolutely caked in the chalk, but I completely...
Sounds like a good session to me! I was in your territory yesterday, I ran the Downs Link from the Shoreham footbridge up to Bramber and back down again. I didn't time it brilliantly and got a few drenchings in between spells of dry weather. Once you're already sodden, it doesn't feel too much...
I wouldn't worry too much about the pacing of the easy and steady runs - just make sure that for steady runs you're working a little bit harder than easy, where you should be able to comfortably hold a conversation. I would say no quicker than 9 minutes per for a steady run and easy probably...
