I assume she's not been put inside because of the care issues that might arise with her eldest son if she is. What I do find odd is that she says she can't afford legal representation when she seems to be burning money on cosmetic surgery interventions and whizzing off to Turkey for same.
I was in the North Stand, near the Corner Flag on the west side. At some point there was an almighty barney behind us, everyone not involved piled forward to avoid the scrap and those of us nearer the front decided getting on to the path that went round the side of the pitch was preferable to...
"Welfare - put our old folk before aliens"
Quite right. Bloody Martians, coming over here, taking our jobs and scrounging off benefits. And their food smells funny.
It's 47 years ago now and my memory is hazy (and I've thrown all my old NMEs out!) but my - possibly selective - memory is that compared to many on the NME Baker was more broad minded and would name check soul and disco stuff which his colleagues were very snobbish over, which endeared him to...
I've come to the conclusion that a ESL might be a good thing for football, if (and only if) it's members are kicked out of domestic leagues. Let them get on with their meaningless comp where they all play each other every year, slavishly watched on TV and 'supported' by people across the globe...
I've had it diagnosed for about 3 years now, and was told it was probably a by-product of all the insulin I've been taking to manage my diabetes for the last 15 years or so
On medical advice I now hardly drink alcohol at all which has improved my liver readings (couldn't quote you the numbers...
Bobby Womack's The Poet. To my shame completely passed me by in early 1980s when it was first released when I was still trying to pretend the entrails of punk and new wave were where it's at.
Given to me as a present about 5 years later and I loved it then and still do. Proper soul music.
And...
Oh dear, if he does come here I do worry about the extent to which NSC will be even more populated by flatulence related jokes, puns and comments......
3. I know there have been lots of injuries but unless whoever comes in dishes out some swift kicks in the pants to some of the underperformers of the past 3 months and/or we get some decent fresh blood in; then we are dangerously close to being relegation fodder next season.
I will be delighted...
I know it wouldn't get rid of all VAR issues but I do wonder whether we should just get rid of offside. Given that it was originally introduced because of goal hanging and is now mostly argy-bargy about whether somebody's knee is nearer the goal than someone else's..
And would it just lead to...
They probably arent. But:-
1) The Kop(and other parts of Anfield) are bigger and more echo-y than the Amex
2) Anfield has a much bigger capacity, and
3) irrespective of all that; GOSBTS is OUR song. Even when I hear it on MOTD and I'm 300 miles away (which I usually am) I find it very moving.
Back when I was young free and single in the mid 80s I shared a flat in south London with a couple of mates, 1 another Brighton fan. He was a once a week man and used to disappear off with the paper to the loo when his time of the week came. He would be in there for ages but, to his credit...
Yes. I find it very odd that Everton fans were desperate to be shot of Allardyce because of the execrable football he served up, but seem not to be bothered by the thin gruel Dyche gives 'em. Perhaps their standards have slipped as their League position has.....
I am sure I remember reading/hearing something about Percy not taking instructions from the coaching staff and just playing the way he wanted to, whether they liked it or not, and that was the reason he got shipped out?
