I've been negotiating with our local Council for a few months about the weekly bookings for the Walking Football Club of which I am Secretary.
Today opened an email from them agreeing that we can secure the booking we want on a permanent basis to be reviewed once a year. It means we don't have...
I remember the day of the first home league game at the Amex against Donny, the answer to one of the clues in the Guardian Cryptic Crossword was 'Brighton and Hove Albion'. A clue which I managed to get before I set off for the match!
Don't know if the Setter that day was Paul though.
My memory of Cambridge Utd away is a game early 80s ( I think we'd just been relegated from Div 1 ?) which was a cracker we won 4-3 with a very late goal from (I think) Graham Pearce.
Have never driven past the site of the Goldstone since the Doncaster game on and even avoid trying to catch a glimpse of the site if I'm looking over Brighton & Hove from the Downs . Certainly would never contemplate shopping there.
You never know because, of course, money talks, but you'd like to think GP would look at the complete sh*tshow way Everton have been managed and steer well clear at this moment. He will obviously be gone one day, but I'd be surprised if it was this job.
Look at the way they've managed things...
Yea, I remember having high hopes of Ferguson because I seem to remember he did have a pretty good track record before moving to us (Coventry?) but he never seemed to do much - although I do remember the winner he got in a 1-0 at Millwall!
Sorry, but the answer to that is 'search me guv' ! I'm an end user at a property over 150 miles away from where such actions are presumably taken. My suspicion is that they've all got shiny new machines running the latest software and are blissfully unaware that not all of us in the boondocks...
Well I suppose if you put it like that almost everything IT related is; whether it's cr@ppy code (is that the right word ?), poorly drafted instructions to users who - guess what, don't live and breathe IT stuff like the people writing the instructions - or just incompetence in using the stuff...
Well, I'm certainty in the 60+ demographic mentioned by Weststander in his reply to my post, but I was also able to book for my 32 yo (and autistic/diabetic) son, so.......
Must be different in different parts of the country. Up here in St Helens I couldn't book until today which is exactly 6 months + 1 week since my 2nd jab. Managed to get a slot next Saturday but a lot of vaccination sites aren't offering slots until nearly the end of November. Had to shop around...
I work part time for the National Trust which is currently changing its data files etc to SharePoint.
My experience so far of SharePoint is that it is utter w@nk.
Proved this week when one of my colleagues copied a lot of files from our server to the appropriate bit of the cloud or whatever...
Just down the E Lancs from you in St Helens, also for about 30 years. Palace still the big one but it was so frustrating that because of lockdown I couldn't go down my local after the Liverpool win last season with a smug expression on my face....
