If 6.5 mil is the bid I think that'll be too good to turn down. Great player but we have 2 ready made replacements of a similar standard plus whatever deal we can do as a replacement. Either a backup for Kayal, Sidwell and Norwood or someone else to push them. If he would drop down to the...
You never know we might have been prepared to stretch a few extra thousand before they said yes to our offer and we can give a bit more to sway him. Not that money should do all the talking but but it's a big part of football.
Who's to say we haven't done this to other teams but have kept it...
He must have been offered and agreed better terms with Norwich to go and have a medical there so expect him to sign for them. However, I would have thought if that was the case and only a medical left it would have been wrapped up by early this evening? If this drags into tomorrow afternoon...
This deal to West Ham on loan has been going round for ages but not gone through...... Must be his agent trying to get more interest other than the loan deal to come here :moo:
Just IMAGINE.... AK, Pritchard and March in behind Calleri
I realise that won't happen.
Would be a great signing! I wonder if it could mean us playing 4-2-3-1 with AK/or another in behind the striker? If we've struggled to find the right striker at the right price this could be the way to solve the issue.
I do hope this doesn't mean we're going to lose AK and he is the...
I thought he had a good game considering he didn't have much help. A Bridcutt and Kayal partnership would be very effective, just as much as Stephens and Kayal. The only difference being there wouldn't be quite as much flexibility in who holds and who pushes forward.
Agree with others about...
I understand what you're saying and it's only praise for us as we've also been consistent on the whole. I just think that over the next 13 games Burnley will grind out a couple more points than us. Again, hope I'm wrong and I could well be as its only tiny margins in the Championship.
I think 87 and it will be 3/4 points short of second. Hull and Burnley are just too consistent to catch unfortunately. Those for top two unless Middlesborough have turned the corner and go on another run.
Really hope I'm wrong..... Can't handle play off nerves
They were there for the taking today, we were comfortable for the first 10 minutes so eased off thinking we would have it our own way. Bad first goal defensively and all downhill from there.
I thought the formation wasn't right today, especially without Kayal's pace supporting Zamora, and it...
Liked 4-5-1 against hull but hoped he would play Murphy or Skalak behind a striker in a more attacking 4-2-3-1 today. Too defensive for me especially without Kayal's pace breaking forward. I'm sure they'll prove me wrong though!! COYS!!
Completely agree. Equally good finishers I'd say but Murray will get around the pitch better, and for longer. Plus I don't think I've seen many better than Murray at holding the ball up and taking the sting out the game when needed. Zamora is good at that but Murray is a lot better and it would...
He is better and or fitter (Zamora) than the strikers that we have so not sure why so many are against it. He would be the most suited to be a lone striker if we needed to go that route in future and could play with any of our other strikers as part of a 2
I genuinely cannot think of...
