Makes no sense at all, all that attacking flair and we sit behind the ball making it twice as hard to attack with purpose. That's on Southgate.
BUT
We were sloppy from the start, passing not crisp enough, not enough players closing down properly, honestly, how many players can you say a worth...
Everyone makes mistakes, its true, Hyypia anyone?
Yet, some make less mistakes than others.
At least we know with Bloom the decisions he makes are calculated to mitigate most risks, as opposed to some other owners who seem to make bad decisions after bad decisions.
In Bloom We Trust...
Their system works, to a degree, up to us to break them down, but if we're too expansive, that plays in to their hands also. A balance to be had, but as others have said, its a means to an end, they keep picking up bore draws, they stay up, simples.
1988-me looking at this would say 0 :)
2024-me, still thinks it will be difficult but our boom and bust nature suggests at least a couple more wins before the end of the season!
I started recording his free kick last night, hoping against hope that it would be a momentous event, my son looked at me as if to say 'what the hell are you doing', sadly he was right, it was wasted footage!
Don't they say class is permanent, form is up and down, or something like that :)
For me, we've seen enough to know he's a real talent, he just needs to be managed through this period to rediscover his mojo
Honestly I am not worried about *only* finishing in the top 10, I think the club have learnt a lot this season and will be focussed on having a decent Cup run and finishing in the European places next season. I still have to pinch myself to believe that we're even having this debate!
I just think we are playing Wolves at a bad time, they are on the up, we're doing well, but our schedule is mad and our injury situation is well known, and knowing RDZ we will still go for it but that will play in to their hands. 3-0 home win. I hope I'm wrong.
