Two or three weeks ago it was doom and gloom as we slipped down the table, now it's top ten! There will be more ups and downs in the coming months - this is Brighton and Hove Albion, we could finish anywhere! Stay on the rollercoaster and enjoy the ride! :albion2::albion:
Superb performance so far and unlucky not to be on level terms - not unusual for us against the Big 6 sides. Bissouma MOM, with very good games from March, Cucu, Lamptey and Mac A.
Four observational so far:
1. We are playing okay.
2. Moder should not take corners
3. Maupay was smacked in the face at least once by Lukaku
4. I used to think Tuchel was a breath of fresh air, but he is turning into a right moaney git.
According to the Italian press a lot of clubs are after him, including Juventus. Also, wouldn't be too much of a surprise if he stayed at Fiorentina for a while longer. Anyway, a prolific scorer and I certainly hope he doesn't go to Tyneside. Turin or Firenze must be more attractive.
Come on people, rally round the flag. Next win will be Brentford at home on Boxing Day (if it goes ahead) - a scrambled last minute winner from Maupay will send us home in the festive spirit. :albion2:
Another thing football could learn from rugby union - players with head injuries, suspected or otherwise, compelled to leave the field for a Head Injury Assessment (HIA) and only allowed back on when cleared. Temp sub allowed.
I thought Wolves were guilty of that last night. I lost count of the number of times one of their players went down and then quickly clutched at his head. Twas getting right on my @#$S! Mind you, it must be hard for the re to make the call.
