That's really interesting. I've seen a bit about this but haven’t explored it myself.
It sounds incredible to see actual connections to specific ancient individuals, like Vikings or Romans, especially with such a close, direct link to archaeological discoveries. Much more real to be able to...
I totally get how tough this must be, especially for your daughter. Being 13 is hard enough as it is, let alone with everything she’s been through - the heart issues, anxiety, and masking her autistic traits. No wonder she’s feeling disengaged.
First off, don’t beat yourself up too...
When the Seagulls take flight,
And they're scoring all night,
It’s Zamora.
With his coaching so fine,
We're attacking their line,
It’s Zamora.
When the forwards break free,
And the goals come with glee,
It’s Zamora.
With his wisdom and flair,
Brighton’s flying, beware,
It’s Zamora.
They'll need to target 10 wins to be safe imo*
10 wins from 30 games.. big ask.
*There are exceptions, of course. Everton survived the drop in 2022/23 with just 8 wins all season. I think Forrest got 9 last year? But it's a decent rule of thumb.
This is the *third time* Palace have managed 3 points from their opening 8 fixtures. They managed identical an identically points tally in 2014 and 2018 and survived. Third time lucky?
Not sure why everyone is so pleased, this is bad news...
... I need an early night but looks like I'm going to be up til the wee hours watching Palace meltdowns.
This video was rather interesting,
EDIT: Looks like it doesn't allow embedding. Check out this channel, uploaded a day ago, "How Facundo Buonanotte TRANSFORMED Leicester’s Attack!".
He nudges the 'keeper as the ball is crossed in - mid flight - thus stopping the goalkeeper coming to claim it. He's effected the goalkeeper and therefore, for me, that shouldn't have stood.
Huge credit to Hurzeler, if we'd have got spanked he'd have got pelters for that line-up.
I loved that it was pragmatic. RDZ never changed how he wanted to play, and while I respect that, it was wonderful to win dirty. It was almost the perfect away smash-and-grab.
The 3-0 demolition of Liverpool was probably the best game I've ever seen us play, ever.
Lots have come close, but that, for me, was almost perfection.
