A great question.
I haven't given it much thought, but I suspect they'd need to hint at "closer ties" and hope the Tories are still an unelectable mess.
Yes but they'll need two terms, minimum. In my opinion it looks like this:
First term, reform key services, raise taxes, get outside investment and push on with large infrastructure projects. Essentially, put the country on an even-keel.
Second term, rejoin the EU in some form, even if it's...
It was the most passive-aggressive handshake.
I think Pep was unhappy with what happened at the end there between JPVH and Haaland. Sad little bald git.
We were nothing short of brilliant, seizing control after the break and showing City just how dangerous we can be. Pedro's goal was deserved for our relentless pressure imo. Other than the first half hour, it felt like we were always the better side, pushing City at every turn and continuously...
Yikes!
Just spoke to them, and my insanely low bills were because my meter stopped.. so I was only paying the standing charge. They have since replaced it and are now billing me for usage. So I'm paying what I owe and can expect another bill in six months. Oh well. At least it isn't a leak!
I didn't even think I had a water meter?
There is a flat on our road with the same door number.. I've known tradesmen to go there instead of to our house.. could it be a simple mix up?
Just paid my latest water bill.. 24th June to 19th October 2024... £164.89
29 October 2024
£164.89
10 September 2024
£12.94
29 April 2024
£27.81
3 November 2023
£30.95
5 April 2023
£22.63
That's quite a jump! I pay cash, not DD. Meter reading taken on the 19th October...
FWIW I quite agree, but I'm right, aren't I? He wasn't solely at fault, it was a mistake, it happens. But some of the stuff I've seen written about him online by "fans" is mind boggling.
I've no real issue with the tax rises, it was inevitable and I think any sensible Chancellor would have had to do the same. What does scare me is the extra borrowing.
I'd much rather we were paying down our national debt than increasing it. Our annual spend on debt interest is about the same...
I thought he played reasonably well—not spectacular, but solid.
He’s got a tough road ahead in winning back fan support; that incident against Wolves was a shock. Still, I believe he’s got potential—he’s shown it for Feyenoord. Ultimately, he's a defensive midfielder, he's not necessarily...
I can’t pretend to know this kid or what’s going on in his mind. But I do know that at 20, I was a complete mess. I hope he gets an arm around his shoulder and some good advice. A bit of backing from the fans wouldn’t hurt, either.
If sending him out on loan is the best path, so be it. But I...
Lots of positives tbf, but seeing City going out means we stood a chance of some silverware, especially with our depth.
I wish we'd gone full strength. An 'easier' route to Europe than the league this season I suspect.
