    [Politics] Thread closed ???

The SDLP met Sinn Fein often to persuade them to give up the armed struggle and join them in a peaceful solution. Corbyn never once uttered so much as a single word in support of the IRA giving up their weapons and instead saluted them with minute silences and graveyard visits for dead...

Yes Wolfe Tone. My mistake.. If he was JUST for a United Ireland and he wanted to support a peaceful group he could have befriended the SDLP. They are even the sister party of Labour in N Ireland. It's a perfect fit yet he completely ignored them and became best friends with Gerry Adams and...

    [Politics] Thread closed ???

Attending numerous Tone Wolf meetings, being part of an editorial board that justified and commended the Brighton bombing, employing terrorist-linked researchers etc etc etc does make it true though. Corbyn was not just in favour of a United Ireland, he supported fully the actions of the IRA in...

[Politics] Blimey. British government 'wants a word' with Zuckerberg

You've every reason to be ashamed. I'd be ashamed too if I'd written what you've just written. You're clearly using words you don't understand, you're dismissing your use of mutually exclusive arguments as 'semantics' and you've chucked in Godwin's Law for good measure.

Tosh? I've given facts and you've given ignorant prejudice. If they are all hanging onto power at all costs then they're driven by power not ideology but you previously claimed that they are almost entirely all 'staunch Brexiteers'. So which is it - ideologues or Machiavellian politicians...

Because Cambridge Analytica was NOT a Tory Party commissioned piece of work as claimed.

Of course they are. But with regards to funding a Brexit campaign they were clearly working against the full weight of government machinations and so you can't say that they were part of a government campaign and given Cameron, Osborne et al, neither were they part of a Tory campaign.

Well.. I suppose if you're the type of person who believes what you've just written then it wouldn't be stupid. I, and others in this thread, have read it as I've already explained rather than the convoluted hidden meaning you've concocted. I'll also add for context that Severnside Gull, to...

Not with regards to referendum campaigning. All the instruments of government were for a Remain vote. Any one supporting a Brexit vote was working against the Government line and the Tory elite.

True but irrelevant to this discussion. The claim is that in 2016, the Tory Party led by David Cameron commissioned Cambridge Analytica to engineer a Brexit win whilst simultaneously using all his influence to get the US President and the Governor of the Bank of England to support a Remain win.

A Tory Party call by Remainer Tories led by the PM who gambled everything on a Remain vote. For every senior Tory in the Brexit camp there were 4 senior Tories in the Remain camp including the PM, the Chancellor, the Treasury Minister and the Home Secretary. The Tories roped in Barack Obama and...

Well said. Perhaps the first time we've ever agreed on something. Definitely not my musical cup of tea but I was never his target audience and he clearly had real talent. 28 is no age to leave this world. Mental illness is a bloody horrible and lonely thing to have.

He sits right at the far left of the directors' box a couple of rows back very near to Des Lyman. Tony Bloom and family are back row at the end of the row on the right apart from Darren Bloom who sits front row with his son. They do seem to make a point of avoiding each other (TB and DK) but...

[Music] Famous Singers on others' records

Good call with Dusty Springfield. When Evie Sands was referred to as The "American Dusty Springfield" it shows how highly regarded Dusty was. Edit - another female singer I'd add to the list is Elkie Brooks. Not quite the same sort of singer though.
