Imagine if Lampard sent them down! What interventions would happen before it got that close?
Their current form is poorer than some of the teams at the bottom….
After many years of 0-0 or worse…and sitting through games knowing it was unlikely Albion were ever going to score at least one goal, yes it has. I love our style of play under DeZerbi. Okay, we’ve had a few disappointing games, but they are the exception. I remember seasons where every game was...
The family behind me bring a full Buffet. At the Brentford game there were pizza slices, scotch eggs, sausage rolls and crisps. I’m surprised they don’t buy a few more seats and set up a table tbh.
I think one of the main issues was that it was two clubs with Southern based fans playing each other in North London.
Will be less of an issue for the final, because the City fans will be heading North after and the United lot will have less of a scrum to get back to Surrey.
Thameslink trains were packed though? I’d be surprised if any were half empty. The one I was on, people had to stand all the way back to Brighton. The tube back to London Bridge on Jubilee and Northern were both rammed too.
Then again, how many regularly go to the Amex, even though Brighton are their “number 2 club” and grew up supporting Arsenal, Spurs etc.
There was a family on the train near me, taking the tags out of their new Albion scarves and the son said to the dad, “are you more of a Brighton fan than...
I was on that train too. And the guy who got off at Burgess Hill presumably to have a cigarette or be sick or something, and the driver had to ask his mates to get him back on over the tannoy. I would have just driven off and left him.
I was next to a United fan, who kept forgetting not to act annoyed when United missed chances - and therefore made it extremely obvious.
Also next to a group of people who obviously had no interest in the game at all. Sat in their seats on their phones (one was actually trying to hold a voice...
I enjoyed parts of it.
I was sat next to two guys who didn’t seem to support Brighton. They didn’t react to anything. Absolutely no colours, left on the 71st minute.
The guy on the other side was obviously United. Head in hands every time they missed, videoed their penalties. Might as well...
