What I would do is go onto EasyJet’s website and check any cheap last minute deals. Eg Pisa for the Cinque Terre or Tuscany ( all easily doable by train), Bordeaux maybe, Brindisi or Bari for South East Italy, Malaga for sun and great bars/restaurants?
IMO the French police in Marseille had an excellent sense of humour. From welcoming us into the area to get buses to the game with “Are you Palace?” to Solly March lapping up the attention!
The Waterside pub next to the Thames last year, the service was excellent. I queued at the bar but they insisted I sit down a they would take the beer orders from our table 10 yards away..and then added 10% to the bill for service charges. I wouldn’t object if they had been upfront with it...
I remember that. The ref played 4/5 minutes extra time when something like only 3 minutes was added on and there were NO stoppages in the first three minutes of added on time.
I lost out in the ballot but not all the tickets were actually sold from the ballot in the end. You could buy a ticket for that game from the ticket office - which is what my friend and I did - second front row just behind the South goal! Great night.
Well, if it had been in a constituency in Henley then there would have been a medium risk that getting hold of their MP would indeed result in copulation.
I think it is a sort of malaise, but at some point you do need to think “is this right” and what is my moral compass? There is a line between maximising profits and going with the flow and doing what is actually right.
Pisa, apart from the Tower and the Duomo is a bit of a nothing town. 2 hours there maximum is enough. A train trip up the coast to the Cinque Terre area may be worth thinking about for a day trip from Pisa. Train from Pisa to La Spezia (1 hour?) and then a local train to one of the towns there...
They are the exact symptoms I had about 6 years ago with a torn meniscus. Possibly that?
edit: probably not if it’s your calf rather than your knee. Apologies and hope it feels better soon.
