I still have my Desmond Douglas blades and Butterfly rubbers purchased from Swifts when I was 15/16 (1980/81!). The days before glue sniffing caught on!
The flip side is that 16 year olds never got a chance to vote in/out of Brexit which arguably had the biggest influence on their future life choices. For that reason alone I’m in favour of giving them the vote.

One of my vivid memories is getting driven home from the Goldstone after a game, buy fish and chips in Seaford, grab the Evening Argus special as it arrived bang on 6pm and then have the fish and chips with a large glass of milk whilst watching Dr Who.
As a hypothetical question, would TB approach GP first to express an interest in being our head coach or would GP make it known first that he would be interested? Purely hypothetical, but who would need the other one more at the moment , assuming Kieran McKenna doesn’t want to come here?

I’m sure he came to Motcombe baths in Eastbourne when I was at Eastbourne Swimming club , at primary school age, and did a demonstration swim. He was a legend.
