You're right, I'm probably being a bit harsh on Facundo. He is young and was often played out of position.
The biggest problem was his inability to last 90 minutes. A season on loan in the Eredivisie playing every week would toughen him up.
Lots of talk of player inexperience, but experience is irrelevant. It's quality that counts.
For periods last season Jack Hinshelwood was our best player. As were Cole Palmer and Kobbie Mainoo for their clubs.
I'm calling it now, Yankuba Minteh will be our player of the season.
Watching the game live, it looked like the right knee was the one he might have twisted, but it was the left one which received treatment.
Probably just jarred the knee which had recently had the meniscus surgery, causing a degree of concern.
Him walking around without strapping post match is...
I think you've taken me a little too literally.
Undav is more than a goal hanger. For Stuttgart he often played as more of a no.10 behind Guirassy.
But yes, I'd like to see him operating in and around the box in the centre of a front 3.
Nor do I, but here's hoping.
Let's not forget that we've also got Diego Gomez coming.
This piece from transfermrkt.com compares him to a cross between Ngolo Kante and Pascal Groß or similar to Fede Valverde...
I used to feel the same way about Undav, but now we have added so much pace, we will need someone reliable to hang around up top and finish the chances they create. Danny Welbeck ain't that guy and Ferguson can't be expected to always be fit and in form.
Undav averaged a goal every 117 minutes...
He's playing tonight for Fenerbahce, in a Champions League qualifying match.
If they lose it may have some bearing on Fenerbahce's willingness to do a deal.
They're currently 1-0 down (4-4 on aggregate)
He's playing on the left of a front 3, in a 433 formation.
