    Good to see Baldock back

I enjoyed the game and the performance of all the starting eleven yesterday. However, and much as I dislike criticising our players, I'm afraid Baldock was very poor when he came on. He barely touched the ball and didn't really contribute much in any way. It was his first game after a long...

Random question that popped into my head II - Albion players who also played cricket

John Templeman was a decent club cricketer. Can't just remember which team he played for.

    "I was there"

I was there when Bobby scored a hat trick at Chester. And to see his chip at Bury. I was at Hereford. But most of all I was at Newcastle.

Turkish Fans & minutes Silence in Instanbal

Sorry I haven't read the whole thread but I assume this was the Turkey v Greece game and was a minute's silence for the Paris dead? I don't recall any minute silences in western Europe for the 100+ who were killed in the Istanbul explosion. And it was Turkey v Greece! However it is a shame...

[Cricket] **LVCC Division One, Sussex v Somerset at Hove, Sep 14-17, 2015**

Surely the tactic will be to bat on and aim for 400 and full batting points. Then try and win the game from there.

    April 1972

That was the best season! I think 12 games before the end Pat Saward made the brave decision to drop Henderson and J Napier, bringing in Goodwin and Beamish and shuffling Murray and Kit Nap ier. After that the team was virtually unchanged, and unbeaten!

    Team for Fulham Home

I think Dunk and Elliott will come back in for Hughes and Baldock, and Bent will start on the bench.

    On this day 1972

I was there too. What a great game. That season under Pat Saward was surely one of the best ever.

For which Albion goal were you in the ultimate place to watch it sail in.

I was right behind the goal at Chesterfield when Chris Iwelumo scored a 30-yard belter, possibly his first for us. We were stuck in the end of the stand at the side of the pitch in the first half but the stewards allowed us to go behind the goal at half time. We found a gale blowing in our...

    Just back from the game...

To confirm what everyone has said, we played very well today, especially in the second half. The new full backs looked good, Bridcutt was outstanding, Crofts got forward well in support of our attacks, CMS played well with his usual enthusiasm, and Lua Lua was outstanding when he came on. I am...
