I'm in total agreement with this.

My favourite player, along with Kit Napier. I saw his first game at the start of the 1970/71 season. I think he was dropped after that one game but came back later in the season and was then a fixture in the side through the 71/72 promotion and beyond. Thanks for posting this link.

I agree totally with mendoza - posted a similar though less articulate comment myself on another thread just a couple of minutes before. I like El Abd's commitment as a player, but we used to have to worry about his petulance getting him in trouble, and now he has become a cheat in the way...

I agree that the ref was a total bottler and I'm afraid I said a few naughty words about him. But I was also disappointed in Adam El Abd's reaction, rolling about like a big fanny trying to get a fellow pro sent off. He was only pushed (quite hard) in the chest and wasn't injured.

Seen a few games while on holiday in Cyprus. The best was Anorthosis v Inter Milan in the Champions League the season before last. The Cypriot team came back from 1-3 to draw 3-3. Great atmosphere with flares and flags and noise.
