That's the problem locally I guess. Even Truleigh hill (Mill Hill on Strava) seems long in comparison at over 4km.
I often do up and over the Bostal and carry on to the A27 and back, which has nice stretches of incline.
You got any hidden gems?
We were just discussing today another trip to...
You should be.
In the run up to my debut Etape last year I went round the Puncheur in 4:28, so you're well on track.
Just make sure it's hills, hills, hills once the clocks change...
We stopped a tad too long really to regroup as a team of five. Gold would have been nice, but I was pleased with the form anyway.
Hadn't done anything near that distance yet this year, so it was a bit of an unknown on the endurance side of things.
You're a gent... I may have pretended I didn't see her!!
Glad you made it round well after that though. It really was a tough ride home with that wind getting stronger and stronger.
I managed a 04:02:23. Decent improvement on last year, so I'm happy with the progress.
Glad to hear there's a few involved again.
Me and my "team" have committed to a gold attempt on our blog this year so I guess we have to try and back that up!
I'm currently on 750km for the year (probably only about 300km outdoors) but my biggest concern is that I haven't done anything of...
How many people signed up to the Puncheur in the end?
I'm nervously checking the weather now with less than a week to go. Fingers crossed for one of the calmer days amidst all the windy stuff...
there really is. I am feeling terrible on rides at the moment, but trying to remember how it felt this time last year to keep me motivated!
Keep me updated on when you can get out for training rides/ sportives.
I know some teachers and know the leave is good when it's holidays, but also pretty...
we've got the same 4 doing it this year, but with a few improvements...
Namely, one of the guys is taking a leisurely week long drive down there in his new camper van with our bikes and tents whilst three of us fly in.
Also we are going for ten nights this time and seeing the pros show us how...
Roberts was outstanding that day. A Gordon Banks type save beneath us that was hard to see peering down from the top tier but incredible nonetheless. Completely agree about Southall that day too... Ageing, overweight yet magnificent!
As for Kuszczak, he's definitely up there as the best keeper...
Good work. I made it in time for the reduced rate yesterday, so also very pleased.
You should have 2 automated emails as confirmation.
Plenty of months ahead to consider just how big the Tourmalet is now...
Looks to me like the link is still open to join (just without the hour in a queue that I had at work this morning)!

The reduced rate places are obviously all gone now though, so it's going to be the full price if still available.
Good luck...
