Yes, that was me. Wasn't overly keen on him getting me to stand up on stage!
But in fairness he announced the film during the gig every night of the last 4 shows (including Leeds) and it has really helped the crowdfunding.
Shame we didn't get to say hi. Maybe at a film screening next year...
Thanks so much. It's been a hell of a year making this. I am off to Istanbul in a few hours to catch up with them again.
I probably won't be at Tunbridge Wells as the edit will be in full swing then. If you get your photo in very quickly after that gig it will be okay but it is quite tight...
For anyone who may have been interested in this, there are just 6 days left to help finish this film now.
The band played the album for the final ever time in Leeds on Saturday night. A spectacular night that will live long in the memory. As will the 9 hour drive home through the snow the...
Thanks for that. Much appreciated.
Currently listening to today's interviewee for the film on 6Music... a strange feeling while going over their questions for later!
Ha! This was never going to be a film to make a return on. Raising enough budget to get it finished and out in the way I want it will do for me...
Thanks for the interest. I really appreciate the support.
Hi,
I know there are a few fans of the band "The Wedding Present" on here and I have cleared everything with Bozza to stick up a quick plug for my film about them.
Fans of music and documentary in general may also be interested but if not, feel free to look away now...
You can find out more...
I'm sure you've noticed by now, but if not I've just watched it in full on iplayer from the point I left it to head to the match.
Looks like it's on there in two parts but I only needed to catch up on the last 70km, which was within part 2.
I did the same around Halloween a few years ago... It was very, very cold at the top of the big roller coaster.
Some of the mazes were pretty impressive actually.
I have loved this thread, especially ahead of tomorrow.
Although this post has brought back the acute annoyance that, despite having seen most of the Gillingham games, I did also miss the 4-4 on Boxing Day.
As someone alluded to earlier, there's no snobbery from me about 'new' fans or any of...
I "celebrated" my 18th birthday at Priestfield...
A handshake with Brian Horton, a signed ball and defeat to Halifax Town. A day to cherish.
Kept going back for more though.
Interesting point.
I brought this topic up in interviews with Gedge and Shaun so far.
There are obviously a few talking points about the recording process back then and differing opinions.
There'll be even more now that the re-recorded version is due out...
Enjoy!
The band have said this tour will be the last time ever it will be played live.
Gedge made some interesting points as to the reasons for this in our initial interview. They hadn't really crossed my mind until then but good to hear an alternative opinion from the other side of things.
What a low that night was. Felt like we dropped a million miles behind after the result.
I sat in the first row behind the director's box. An entertaining spot in those days!
