A slow 10 miles for me today, trying to get back into the swing of things having not run much recently. I've given myself an incentive by signing up to the G3 trail half marathon in January. It takes in most of the challenging inclines around St Marthas and Newlands Corner so I guess I know...

[Albion] Brighton & Hove Albion vs Wolverhampton Wanderers *** Official Match Thread ***

I counted how many players were in the Wolves back line for one of our goal kicks in the second half... and it was 7 (SEVEN). The only way to counter that sort of defending is to try and draw the opponent on to you and break quickly down the wings once you've turned over possession so you can...

It'll be interesting to see their plans - particularly how they plan to access the site.

London mayor considers pay-per-mile road pricing and ban on new parking

Which of course it did have at the start of the last century, later to be superseded by the trolley buses that my Dad often tells me about him using when he worked in Brighton.

[News] The Coronavirus Good News thread

Had my booster a couple of days ago, and was offered and took the flu jab whilst I was at it. All very efficient.

[Help] Leasehold flat electrical permissions help please!

Even owning the freehold doesn't always get you around that sort of scam. Because there are covenants on houses in my area we were obliged to ask permission to build an extension to our our house from a separate part of the Borough Council to the planning department before putting in the...

    Trump

From what I can gather (mostly from wikipedia admittedly) the select committee would only stop once it has finished what it has been set up to do. I suspect that if the members on the committee changed then so would the decision about when it had reached its conclusion.

I don't think that the Senate can arbitrarily stop a House Select Committee set up by the House of Representatives.

Thanks, no offence intended... though I think I should be below St Leonards Seagull seeing as he posted a 19:13 SB/PB this weekend! :p Glad to hear you are on the mend though. :)

How is the table ordered these days knocky1? It has been such a long time since I've had cause to pay attention to it that I've rather lost track of how it works! :D

It has been a LONG time, but I finally made my parkrun return at Guildford this morning. Finished 18th in 19:57 (AG 71.6%), which was enough to bag a 1st place in my age category. I then trotted back to take Junior Orange off of my wife's hands so he could sprint home for a PB. Very happy all...

[News] There's no need to panic buy petrol

Every petrol station I've passed in Guildford in the last couple of days have been dry, but I chanced my arm and popped to Sainsbury's at lunch and was able to drive straight on to the forecourt and fill up with unleaded. They had a prominently placed sign saying they had no diesel. Anyway...
