Whenever I log into NSC recently on my home PC, it displays the threads on the main board as as 22:10 on 31/10/2020.
I can resolve this by hitting the show threads button and all threads then display up to date. But this is slightly annoying and the fact I can't resolve this is even more...
In 126th place on Stage 1 and finished in 1st place only at the end of the final stage (3 weeks later). This was the only point he held the outright lead. Fully deserved the win. Great effort by Hindley as well.
What a ride today from the 25 year old British rider from Hackney in the Giro d'Italia.
3 times up Sestriere and pipped the Aussie Jai Hindley on the line despite repeated attacks from Hindley on the final climb.
His ride up the Stelvio Pass on Thursday was also epic and some of the best...
Footballers and pundits are the two groups of people who express their opinions on the laws the most whilst actually knowing the least in my experience.
Back from watching my local side Horsham smash Brightlingsea Regent 4:0 in the Isthmian Premier League.
Standard was better than I expected. I think the 4G pitch helps. Referee looked about 12 years old. I think they are like policemen or maybe its just me.
Did not win on the raffle so just...
I think our very own CEO said it like this mid week on Talk Sport on more than one occasion when talking to Simon Jordan and Jim White about big picture. I can't find a recording to check though.
A few points of interest here:
Simon Jordan vs Paul Barber is like a battle of Just a Minute...
I don't really like watching Brighton live on TV. I tend to switch off if things are not going well as I get too annoyed. I much prefer watching live in the actual stadium because you are much more connected to the event. Hence I would pay if £5, possibly £7 max.
After I cheated and Googled, you missed 2 big ones - Mittal at QPR ($18 Billion)
Chien Lee Barnsley - £7 Billion
Its more complex than I thought. Maybe a bailout fund with access means tested is not such a bad idea after all!!
I agree. The Albion set standards here (in terms of communication to STHs) that should be a benchmark that the other clubs aspire to. Perhaps then there would be less hair-brained Big Picture schemes if other CEOs had to face the fans regularly.
I thought his comments were interesting around Albion wanting to help other clubs in the football league but its complex because Tony doesn't want to fund Championship owners who are wealthier than he is.
1. Who was he talking about?
2. If the Albion want to help (which I think they do as a...
In most businesses (including the film business), the aim is to generate the biggest profits possible by eliminating or marginalising the competition and gaining market share.
However in football this doesn't work. Although clubs have other clubs as competitors, its the competition itself (the...
For what its worth I don't believe any football club have any legal basis to hold onto season ticket credit balances.
In general, unless the terms and conditions of a contract entered into say otherwise, there is no legal right given to a company to keep any credit balance. Even if such a...
Also given that the Bank of England is a public body that must answer to the people of the UK through Parliament, I don't remember this getting much publicity at the time.
Whilst football clubs are businesses, they are not normal businesses and it is not appropriate in my view to use a public...
Spurs stated the money "will not be used for player acquisitions" and instead to ensure the club has "financial flexibility and additional working capital," while also helping repay the debt on their new £1 billion stadium.
Surely they wouldn't have any money available for player acquisitions...
