Sounds like the sort of thing one would hope for from a recently elected Labour government. Hopefully paid for by tax increases on those with broader shoulders (and especially their unearned wealth).
I noticed something like "67 PB" (or rough equivalent) on a nice little Porsche in the uni car park at the Spurs game... took all my Sherlock Holmes' skills to guess at the owner.
As far as I know we are one of very few adopters. Plymouth perhaps being another? Teams who stuck with the better "Here We Go" tune include West Brom, Wolves, Leeds, Arsenal, Everton (notably), Newcastle... not sure why we had to change - recent revival attempts are welcome
Not sure when but "How?" is the main people who start chants chose to do it, and "Why?" is because Liverpool did it and we have always been massive plagiarists.
Agree with most of this. I remember a round of golf during the time, with a friend who is inside pro football and he laid the blame firmly with Potter. It is the responsibility of the Manager (Head Coach) to oversee the development of young players in the First Team squad. Very obvious what...
That's right. Level on points with the Yorkie Puds would deservedly see us as Champions. Inevitable draw (earliest possible finish) and a few extra BPs will widen the margin...
Good thread.
Feel free to virtually shoot me but my day/weekend was made immeasurably better by tuning in to the last few minutes from Goodison Park today. Palace losing is right up there with Brighton winning as a source of pleasure.
Depending on where you are in the ground, this will be a recurrent issue with the new timing. Most teams have an anthem or favourite chant that they will now sing loudly during SBTS.
In the North end of the stadium you'll hear SBTS, towards the middle/South then the away fans wiĺl be...
The first few highlight clips in that video have "The North Stand Greatest Hits" as a sound track... so nostalgic remembering that place and the way the chants atmosphere generated from fans who wanted to do it being tightly packed in together in a smaĺl central space...
I really hate it specifically because it works against our team and will continue to all season. Our defensive solidity is made to look much less good than it really is and opposition teams/fans get the related boost of apparently threatening our goal when they've actually done nothing of the...
Must be achievable. I would live with the cringingest embarrassment of all time of Richie Reynolds announcing it and a message on the big screen "DUNKY SAYS PLEASE DON'T CLAP" for 2 or 3 games...
A much better analogy would be to say that Rob Andrew was a bit like Ken Brown before Paul Barber...
In terms of head coaches, Sussex have jumped from Sami Hyypia to a Mullery/Hughton/Potter/Hurzeler hybrid... :D
What an incredible season for Sussex?!
T20 Blast Semi-Finalists and likely Winners of Division Two with a very high number of convincing victories. Achieved by blending products of our own Academy with shrewd signings of more experienced domestic and overseas players. Under a brilliant coach...
