What’s the length of his current contract? Even if he signs a new contract it’ll have a release clause and if that’s met by a big club then he’ll probably go. The same will be true of any replacement.
Unfortunately all the time the press see us little overachieving Brighton they will always...
My guess is that he thinks there is a deficiency in Baleba’s game that he can fix with coaching. It would seem odd for him to say he’s going to be a great premier league player if he’s written him off.
From the club website two days ago:
RDZ “We have only one playmaker in our squad who is Billy, but I think Baleba has that quality but he’s very young. He is new in Brighton and didn’t play many games since arriving last summer, but for sure he can become one of the best Premier League players...
Buonanotte seems like the obvious choice. Who else was mentioned in the debate yesterday?
Edit: For some reason I forgot about Gilmour. So between Gilmour and Buonanotte or am I still forgetting someone?
Done. I guess you are expecting some very different answers from Brighton and Man Utd fans.
Did you pick Brighton because you thought we might have the best club fan relationship in the league?
I would imagine after years of sales far exceeding purchases we could spend more than we sell without it meaning “getting into debt”. (Ok as we are in debt (?) to Bloom it would mean reducing the debt by less).
To be clear I’ve got nothing against our transfer strategy to date. It’s brought us...
But balanced against sales of about £150m it’s not that ambitious. It’s sensible reinvestment in the squad.
I’d call ambitious, spending more than you sell.
