I’ve seen that Mason Mount is in for Man Utd. Completely forgot he was there. I see he’s hardly played this season. Has he been injured or just out of favour?
My dad used to work in internal audit years ago. He was free to plan to visit places whenever suited him. So trips to the northeast when Brighton were away to Middlesbrough on a Tuesday night etc were common for him. He never worked abroad and obviously Brighton weren’t playing abroad so he...
So 7 wins, 2 draws and 1 defeat. (I think that’s the only way to get 23 points).
If we only lose once in our 4 games against the current top 4 that’ll be in incredible.
The point against City seems optimistic. It looks like the title race will go to the wire so I don’t think we’ll get one of those City have already won the league games.
As for the rest it’s possible, but would be a very impressive run.
10 games left. Just the league to focus on. How many more points will we get?
Remaining games are:
Liverpool (a)
Brentford (a)
Arsenal (h)
Burnley (a)
Chelsea (h)
Bournemouth (a)
Villa (h)
Newcastle (a)
Man Utd (h)
Man City (h) (date TBC)
I know what you mean. Last season he was all positivity “we’re Brighton, we’ve got big balls, we’re pushing for a big target”. This season there seems to be a lot more negativity.
My preference is for a good summer transfer window and a return to last season’s RDZ.
I used to not believe the whole ‘what you eat is far more important than exercise thing’ until I changed what I ate.
I was 42 and a few months into having two children (I’m the father, so not a pregnancy thing). Exercise had gone out the window and I was overeating. I was 14.5 stone (6ft tall)...
In the Fulham game he did actually get two good chances (one he should have scored and one decent but not easy chance). While it would have been nice if he’d scored I did think at least he’s back to having chances.
I’ve seen glandular fever mentioned a few times. Is there any evidence for this...
Sunderland in the Championship when they were in a promotion season. Night out in Newcastle. Flew up, left our stuff at the airport storage as we couldn’t check in before the game. Met the team at the airport after the game and got some pictures with them.
Le Harve in a pre-season friendly. All...
Definitely the type of player we were more in need of.
I know we’ve lacked wingers at times this season but that’s bad luck with injuries rather than an actual shortage in the squad.
The counter to this is to take us an example. Never qualified for Europe before, and could struggle to qualify for next season, but we won our group. So every season lots of teams worse than us will keep getting the chance to play in Europe while we might not because we play in a difficult...
Presumably the buyback clause is just with the club and the player could refuse to return. This makes me think they only really work for the biggest teams who can almost guarantee being a desirable option for any player.
I did see the headline earlier on the BBC and wonder the same thing. If one team is that dominant it does suggest that they haven’t managed to create an interesting competition.
It was written before the first leg. Also, with an 8pm kickoff I need to leave before the end to make the last London Bridge (which leaves Brighton at about 10.30pm), even without extra time.
