It’s amazing how this narrative still holds true. Brexit was supposed to stop immigration in its tracks. It’s had the opposite effect (unsurprisingly). You’d think these thick t***s would put two and two together.
I’m genuinely surprised Saka hasn’t been used as a viable alternative at LB. I appreciate he’s a brilliant winger, and arguably our standout attacker from the first two games (not saying much), but he’d offer balance at least and has proven he’d work for the team at the expense of his ego. We...
The idea that TAA has been the problem is ludicrous. He’s been absolutely hung out to dry in this tournament by Southgate… and the fact that he’s thought the solution is bringing on Gallagher blows my mind.
How do you play a player of that quality but offer no movement ahead of him?
And Rico Henry.
I was lambasted in the Athletic for suggesting Southgate made such a mistake, but the r first two games with trippier at LB have been a disaster. He looks totally out of his depth.
This is all on Southgate. The tactical inadequacies, the inability to affect the game with logical substitutions, the inability to find a balanced side… still… he shouldn’t be in charge for this tournament, but even by his standards the first two games have been abysmal.
What most people seem to forget is that even when you go private, most of the time for proper surgery or healthcare you’re being pushed through the NHS anyway, you’re just getting there quicker than someone without private. What this means is that it becomes a game for the rich, as much has over...
It is though. The balance of the side is totally off. And rather than making substitutes to solve the tactical issues, he’s compounded them by going like for like but with worse players.
Serbia realised if they shut Saka down, we had no out ball. Rather than switching things to offer balance...
But this is what was so disappointing about Starmer. Anyone with half a brain cell could see he had so many open goals like this… and he took none of them.
Rishi lying would’ve been called out in the media anyway, but he wouldn’t have looked so clueless and weak if he’d spotted all of these...
I don’t disagree with any of this. I just don’t see why both things can’t happen at once. The Wikipedia point is neither here nor there. They cheated to win the titles they won (seemingly) and should have them rescinded whilst also not being in a position to win forthcoming ones.
Mine has zero interest and I’ve no issue with that. We have other things in common and have actually become much closer as we’ve aged. People like what they like after all.
Does it?
Does reinforcing the rules and ensuring the league’s integrity really ruin the brand more than the continued acceptance of financial doping from the league’s most recently successful club?
I’ll vote Labour. We’re at a stage where I can’t ever justify voting Tory again.
But I suspect there’ll be a lot of people with very short memories who will keep voting for them. And lots of people won’t vote because our system only really cares about some seats and there’s a ton of apathy as a...
To each their own. I think it’s a dump, full of some of the most pompous idiots in the world.
Which is unlike much of the rest of France where the people are usually lovely.
Different experiences I guess.
Paris is awful, to be fair. Unlike large parts of France which are lovely.
Having been there a few times, I never get how it holds any romantic appeal.
