City have looked off it for much of this season but they were a bit like that during the first half of last season. It will be good for the Premier League if they do fail to win the title this season.
The six second rule still exists. I get that it would be silly if it was strictly enforced all the time but Trafford today was taking the piss today so an indirect free kick would have stopped him along with an early yellow card for taking too long with goal kicks.
We were by far the better team (especially in the second half) but their keeper played a blinder and we were wasteful in quite a few good situations. 4 points from these two home games is solid enough though and should set us up nicely for Thursday.
There is no doubt Rodriguez acted like a twat and Bong got a shedload of abuse for a long time afterwards because of Rodriguez’s actions so he definitely deserves to be booed.
I’m very excited. I missed Luton so this is my first Saturday 3pm Amex game this season. Burnley play good football these days so I think they’ll come and have a go which will hopefully suit us.
The point has probably been made but only 2 players who started today started when we outclassed Chelsea in April. The departures and injuries are really impacting us at the moment.
Just seen the penalty for the first time. Why is VAR suddenly overturning everything. That’s twice in a week in the Premier League that we’ve had penalties given against us that usually wouldn’t be deemed a clear and obvious error.
We were poor when AEK went down to 10 on Thursday and we haven’t been any better today. It’s surprising as you’d think our style would be suited to having an extra man.
