As I read it, previous year's profits are irrelevant (hence the spending spree this summer).
Clubs will be able to spend 85% of their revenue on Amortisations of player purchaases/wages and Agents fees.
This gets a bit difficult for clubs like us, who might bring in £150m in fees one season...
All of This.
The richest clubs are all hamstrung by PSR this season, causing the market to be significantly depressed.
Next season the rules change and they will all be competing on a level playing field again.
Funny that Tony has spent this season stock-piling a load of talented youngsters...
Yep. THIS!
Mitoma playing every second of every game was always going to end badly.
The idea of have him playing a maximum of 70 minutes for every game, only to be replaced by Adingra or one of Sarmiento/Enciso is an enticing prospect.
No team can afford to get into a bidding war with TB during this season.
When the rules change (next season?), the big clubs will have a clean slate and be able to start decimating our squad again.
It's almost as if Tony's spending spree and bloated squad, of developable players, has been...
Is he fit yet?
I would like to see him coming on for Welbeck on 70 minutes and starting the cup games.
Chances are, as the season drags on, he will need to start more games.
I don't think a loan will give him any more experience, than he will get by staying here and fulfilling that role.
My understanding of the 3 CBs in Hurzeler's system, is that the central CB is effectively the deep lying "pivot".
My assumption is that Weiffer is fulfilling that role.
I agree we don't need any cover at CB.
Webster unlucky that Dunk is undroppable, he was very decent in pre-season and...
Well you shouldn't. They are midfielders.
However there is a much bigger debate around the number of midfielders in the squad.
We are unlikely to be swapping both of them out in every game.
We currently have
Weiffer
Milner
Baleba
WBG
Dahoud
Moder
Gruda
Hinshelwood
Ayari
I think we know that...
I think the jury is out on it being a "freak situation".
We weren't alone with this issue, which points to a more fundamental issue, than bad luck.
Extended injury time is having a big impact on players fitness.
The majority of this additional time is coming at a point where the game is more...
Or we can replace all 4 attackers on 70 minutes when we're winning comfortably, drawing or losing games.
Welbeck/Ferguson
Pedro/Rutter
Mitoma/Adingra
Minteh/Enciso
Leaving March (Left wing back cover?) , Sarmiento and Gruda (as much an AM as a winger) as injury cover/Cup games.
In...
Amazing how quickly the end of last season is forgotten.
Even if we have no injuries at all, the ability to bring on high quality forwards/wingers, for the last 20 minutes, is a crucial advantage the top teams have.
Every team we play gainst will have a plan for him.
If they have time to get two or 3 defenders around him, he's going to have atough time.
3 or 4 times in the second half, he was in space and the ball just took way too long to get to him.
Our passing isn't crisp enough yet, to make the most of...
