As well as a lot of the ones mentioned here, I quite like 'The Famous Sloping Pitch' for its take on modern football. Nick Hancock (not the greatest comedian, granted) and Chris England. The Oldham and Stoke section is getting a bit tired but the subjects they cover either side of that usually...
Went a couple of months back and thought the cast have nailed the spirit of the show superbly. Mostly funny but, for me, 'the Germans' skit really hasn't dated well. Worth seeing though, for sure.
Reminds me of a very old Churchill Square I think. Otherwise, Sussex Uni? Don't know about the kid or the shopping trolley. Maybe an under-developed student who has nicked one.
Fair enough. Probably was a bit harsh. Just don't think he's causing anything like the amount of chaos we know he can, which is not far off Mitoma's level when he is at his best. Did a lot of running into blind alleys.
The excellent touch and simple pass for Lamptey was probably his best...
I'm on board with this. We have an infinitesimal chance of picking up anything meaningful at Anfield. Was a good opportunity to reach only our second ever quarterfinal in a competition that now looks very winnable. I'd take a proper tilt at a trophy over a 'hard-fought point at Anfield'...
I thought Ferguson perked up massively again when it became clear he was going to get hooked. Looked like a boost to his confidence. Feels like he's getting there...
I'm with you. He was good for an hour - good enough to think he was almost back to his best. Then it fell apart. Not sure we're ever going to get over him being a bit small to play as an orthodox right-back. Possibly someone who's only really going to prosper long term as a wingback which is...
Seems worse to me. The first 6 rounds of matches are fairly pointless from a neutral perspective. Even Villa beating Bayern. Exciting for them, big shrug for everyone else. Lose and you still have seven lives in hand.
Destined to become a Carabao Cup-alike in this phase.
Imagine we were in...
I make us 6 points up on last season from the equivalent fixtures (swapping Ipswich for Sheffield United) and only 1 point down on the season we qualified for Europe. Very promising start.
Very good news. Even if there were no question marks at all over this guy’s flying behaviour, basic human decency would generally dictate that he’d not want to be anywhere near a cockpit again. Odd character.
If I remember correctly, the story of the preview night sums up how impressive it is. Abba really were there that day. The audience gave the group a standing ovation when they emerged at the end - only to realise they'd been applauding the avatars when the actual band members took to the stage...
Obviously, the correct way to spell this is actually the big issue here.
That's an American website and it's "U.S. English". The British spelling, as someone correctly pointed out, is "haemorrhoid".
The Americanisation of English words is almost as annoying as VAR ;)
In these days when news is everywhere in seconds, seems astonishing now that I didn’t even find out until, I think, a couple of days later. We were on holiday and shocked to see pictures of The Grand with a great big hole in it on the front of every English newspaper. Back then, ‘papers abroad...
