From what I’ve seen of Rushworth - and the corresponding views of Swansea, Lincoln and Walsall fans - having a club willing to give us 60m for Bart would be a nice problem to have.
Wait until he’s home from the Euros. He’s put himself well and truly on the radar this summer, and I’d be surprised if there isn’t interest from big clubs. Even more so if he helps the Netherlands to the final.
I’ll put this out there, but I wonder if the club are anticipating bids for Bart after the Euros, which is why we haven’t agreed another loan yet for Rushworth. If we get a too-good-to-turn-down bid from one of the mega-rich clubs then we could do a lot worse than replace him with another young...
I wouldn’t be surprised ifLabour already have plenty that could damage them. Obviously they won’t have wanted to use it during an election campaign where their popularity was splitting the right-wing vote though!
The voter ID process in my polling station was farcical. I went in and a bloke at the first desk diligently checked my driving licence against my appearance to ensure it was mine. However, I then went to another desk (about 5m away) where a woman took my polling card and handed me my slip...
I agree. Does anyone think we’d have loaned out Beadle to relegation-threatened Massive or Rushworth to his various clubs without there being the understanding that they’d be going there as regular first-choice keeper?
If Bart’s confidence was really so tender, do people really think he’d have...
I cannot agree more. Having a young talent like Rushworth getting splinters in his arse is a complete waste of an asset and does absolutely nothing for his development.
Keepers rarely get injured or suspended, and if that happens an experienced pro like Steele can be trusted to do a job for a...
If France had a FPTP system like ours, National Rally (Le Pen's lot) would already have a majority and be in goverment with 33% of the vote. FPTP doesn't keep out extremes out of actual power once they reach a tipping point of popular support, which seems to be in the low 30s.
I wouldn't have...
In the end I went to bed to follow on my iPad as the Truss count was taking so long. Horsham going from Con to LD for the first time in the history of the constituency was the highlight of the night for me.
Only 8 seats to declare so it’s not going to change. Reform have only got 14.3% whereas they were polling 16-17% in final week.
Labour only on 33.9%, which is a shockingly low percentage for any party to win such a strong majority with. Our system definitely needs changing
Anywhere reporting the percentages overall? C4 were covering it earlier and Reform was only on about 14% after about 350 declarations, which included their 4 wins and general best areas of support.
It was a bit of a rollercoaster. Even though exit poll was decent, the 13 predicted seats for Reform was disappointing, and then more so when they revised the Cons up to 160 and LDs and Labour down by about 10 each.
Got to be happy with the outcome with Lab, LD and Greens all outperforming the...
It was terrible for the first hour with Dorries throwing a strop, but yes, once she went the analysis was really good. Even Widdecombe had some interesting points to make.
