I guess they won’t match the Arsenal Invincible then.
I think Liverpool look like the best team.
City will of course be good, but will be docked points (separate threads are available for detailed discussion)
Arsenal, I think aren’t all that. Grimly hanging on most weeks isn’t the action of a...
Personally I think Liverpool are the best team in the country and will win the league.
But their fixture pile up gives us a chance
What we have to hope for is that 3 or 4 of their players go down in the coming weeks. They will have no choice but to protect what remains for the bigger trophies
This is my thought as well
I think I'm right in saying, that in the rounds so far, we've made 11 changes and 8 changes. I mean no disrespect, but I don't think a Webster, Igor, Moder type side is getting us through this round. We should go strong. Just rest Veltman and Dunk and go full on PL...
Then it's up to the rest of us to engage with those concerned and patiently make our case.
For now, those wanting authoritarianism and thinly viewed racism in this country have nowhere near the numbers
In my understanding of it they are high because they are pressing the opposition to win the ball. If they stand off and take a position, more how they would have under GP or RDZ, the opposing midfielder can turn, pick a pass, then the whole team is backpedalling
Just think that whoever we put in central midfield, however fast they are or however deep they play, they would not have stopped the Forest breakaway goal, nor Utd's.
They are better off forward pressing the ball to prevent it coming through in the first place
I mean, you can do both right? You can have a representative cast, which is plausible because it's set in a country with people originally from a lot of different places and you can have good scripts and casting. It's not one or the other
The wider question here is about the standard of...
I just don't agree
Schools and Universities shouldn't be giving up their playing fields for development of any sort. The argument that they have another pitch so they can still play sport doesn't work for me. We need to be encouraging sporting activity for the young not building over it.
I...
But it's the attacking potential as well. The idea is to give the opposition no easy outball. We're scoring goals from winning the ball back high up, eg Baleba against Wolves. We're also getting control of games with high possession, despite giving the ball away with high tariff passes, we're...
Had Veltman held the position he should have done, Forest would have been easily offside.
Not chewing the fella out who has had a terrific start to the season.
But these are the things we need to improve on if we're going to make this work
There's no need for any new system of cards.
I agree with Han Solo for the most part on refs. Their role is made almost impossible by the conduct of players, which has asked of them by managers and clubs. They need to take responsibility, much more than the refs. Pundits and media have a lot...
A high line is the foundation of the game plan. It won't be changed because we concede goals.
This is a risk Hurzeler chooses to accept. We'll continue to concede goals like against Forest and Man Utd.
What I think we’ll see in the coming months is the forces working in the opposite...
Agreed.
Let's not go overboard. He's an incredibly talented young player. His rate of improvement is incredible. But he's still got lots of work to do on his game.
There's every reason to think he will be a Champions League level player at one of the biggest clubs in Europe in a few years...
What I hope is that we keep offering him, and he keeps accepting, incrementally better and longer deals as his star continues to rise, exactly as we did with Dunk
I’m now at the point with Jack H, that he is the Brighton player I’d be most disappointed if we lost.
