I'll go to the Chelsea game. I'd love to go to a Europa game but I won't have enough loyalty points to get a ticket (like the majority of fans) so travelling to London is an easy option.
I know that lost of people will travel without tickets but I must say that I find the idea of travelling...
There are quite a few differences between Potter and RDZ though. First of all, as you say De Zerbi is more of a purist, I also feel that he's less motivated by money. That's not a criticism of Potter; he has a young family while RDZ's kids are older, I'd also assume that De Zerbi has a few more...
There is zero chance of RDZ going to Chelsea: he's not stupid. I think it's unlikely that he'd go to Utd too. An unbalanced squad with unreliable owners and an entitled fan base. As the squabble with Sancho shows, there are issues behind the scenes there and it's a place most ambitious managers...
They did last season too. I'm a ST holder with very few loyalty points but got a ticket to Spurs. Newcastle didn't sell out at all. There aren't that many mega fans with a zillion points
I'm not massively hopeful of getting tickets but Marseille looks the best bet. I could go for 3 nights and take in L'Africaine at the opera house (it's a piece I've never seen which makes it doubly exciting). If I'm lucky enough to get an Ajax ticket, that will be a one night stopover
I can't read Dutch or Greek so I don't know about AEK or Ajax but OM aren't happy - they think they've got a tough struggle on their hands.
They all know about RDZ and think he's the dog's bollocks
I'm hoping we're drawn away to Ajax for the first game. I've already pencilled in a visit to the opera to see Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny on the day before the match
Just had a look at a Marseille forum, they weren't chuffed about drawing us and Ajax. As someone said: "I can't decide whether we're going to finish top or bottom of that group."
Which is odd because I feel exactly the same
Not guilty on this one: I've never doubted Pascal, the heartbeat of the team. I voted him as player of the year last season, as I've done on two previous occasions.
I know what you mean. My first away game was Hereford, to see a young lad called Peter Ward score with his first touch in league football. Hereford are now in the sixth tier of English football. My first away game after I'd started going out with Mrs Gwylan was Kidderminster Harriers: they are...
I must admit that I was who scoffed at the idea that we were getting him. I knew Spurs and the Chavs were both after him and it sounded so fa fetched that he'd end up at little ol' Brighton. What a coup for the club
