I was thinking that too. Chelsea need a new centre back and JP's performances must be catching the eye of bigger clubs (Man U are also in the market for another defender). It wouldn't shock me to see a bid coming in this summer.
Just got home. Train at London Bridge was cancelled, so it was a long haul back. Got absolutely drenched walking the 10 minutes from the bus stop to the house. That sounds up the day perfectly.
Metaphysical Animals by Clare Mac Cumhaill and Rachel Wiseman- one of my Christmas books. It's about how four women re-shaped the study of ethics following the Second World War. It's a cracking read, I'm racing through it.
A momentous day for me. I've just completed my second year of Wordle and a second 100% score. A streak of 730 is not to be sniffed at (bit disappointed with my 4 today though)
I believe he's a Green Party member (or at least supporter), so he'd fit in well down here. Having said that, he was one of the supporters of Eddie Izzard in his bid to become Labour PPC.
Yeah, I'm not sure why he gets match time; his legs look shot. I remember him coming on in our League Cup match at Chelsea and he looked like he struggled to walk, let alone run.
Pedro looked shattered, so I'm not surprised he went off, but surely Barrington or B-B would have been a better...
Disagree on this. A later KO would impossible for Plymouth fans to get back by public transport. Yes, they'd have to take the afternoon off to get there but they'd have to for a 7.30 KO. And Southampton fans in the area would be able to get there after work, so wouldn't need to take time off...
It's not a very common scoreline. I'm trying to think of the last time we won 4-2. I remember us losing 4-2 to Sheff Utd (I think it was Coppell's first or second game) but I can't think of a 4-2 win. The last one I can recall was when we beat Newcastle 4-2 (Wade's four goals) but there must...
Just had our recycling collected. Our usual day is Tuesday, so I was half-expecting nothing to be collected until 9 January. It was nice surprise.
I'm hopeful that our rubbish will be collected tomorrow now.
There was. Deed was planning a trip down to Brighton and thought of turning up at Withdean, without a ticket and getting in. There was a thread on here about the implausibIlity of it.
Those aren't Welsh words. Welsh for more is mwy, couple is cwpl and I'm not sure about let's go, but it may involve mynd ( which is to go). Paar is, however, German for couple (or a few). The other two words aren't German though. I can't read the writing, so can't offer any suggestions
I'm slightly different as my kids are adopted. But I was just a couple of months shy of my 50th birthday when we welcomed a 3 year old and a 1 year old to our house.
TBH, I don't think age made a difference to me, I can't think of anything that I couldn't do with the kids that my own dad did...
Talking of Sian Berry. I bumped into Caroline Lucas and her at the weekend. The Blessed Caroline was pointing out places of interest in North Laine as SB gets up to speed with the constituency she's hoping to represent.
