[Albion] What is the BEST, CRAPPEST and OLDEST pieces of Brighton & Hove Albion merchandise that you still have in your possession?

Oldest would be an Albion Supporters Club badge from ( I think ) late 60s. I have the remains of a scarf which my Mum knitted much before that but about two decades ago Mrs T decided that it was disgustingly dirty and washed it, which didn't go well.......

[Football] spurs april 1978 *roll call*

I was there, in the North stand. I almost always used to be on the East terrace and cannot remember why I went in the North that day. I vividly remember the crush from behind pushing us down to the front. I was very worried that I would be crushed up against one of the metal leaning rails (...

[Albion] Times when you've gone to the Albion but know you really shouldn't......

Wednesday Sept 24, 1969. Home to First division Wolves in the third round of the League Cup. We lost 3-2 but came very close to giant killing them, were leading 2-1 late into the second half. But........HCGSB had their awards evening ( or something like that ) scheduled the same evening and...

[Football] Should we scrap the offside rule?

I'm not saying to scrap it but today's offside rules lead to a game within a game which is not about footballing skills. The idea behind offside is to prevent goalhanging which is fair enough. But nowdays, defenders train to catch forwards marginally offside and forwards train to ' break the...

[Albion] You're the ref: Veltman v Rice

I haven't read the whole thread so sorry if this has been said before... ....but, Rice overreacted dramatically to the pretty mild kick from Joel. Perhaps if he had just walked away the ref wouldn't have had to speak with his lino and wouldn't have taken action against either of them.

    [Albion] 60 years ago today - 22 August 1964

Me too. East terrace half way line. I used to take a folding stool into the ground and stand on that, at the front by the wall on the edge of the pitch. Had to get there early to get that spot......

    [Albion] Sean Dyche is confused.

Dyche also said, at the end of one interview, that he didn't understand why so much injury time was added since the game was essentially out of reach for Everton. He actually was suggesting that the game time should be varied depending on the scoreline !!

[NSC] NSC - what it has become, and how can it be made better

On the few occasions when I dip into other teams boards I am struck by how much better nsc is, in structure and often content as well. Whoever thinks that nsc is ' county standard ' should point us to any other board which he considers ' premier league '.

    [Albion] Returning Away Tickets

Thanks for the responses folks. At least I know for sure. Now all I can do is hope that somebody in the family ( except not me..) catches something very mild but is concerned enough to reschedule the whole gathering rather than risk infecting old folks.......
